im pretty sure i got mine for like $16 in like 2013, and it was $20 in 2020, yet today it's $96

mildly entertaining the thought that stimmy/unemployment checks are responsible for them being inflated to huge $, and that coronavirus gave people the incentive to try out the game and a good % decided to stay and were gifted them either cause edaters or homies which caused it to start increasing in the first place (happens to coincide around the beginning of 2020.)
edit: bp.tf aint the best thing in the world to track prices, just use SCM (as bad as it is w/ no year dates) or marketplace.tf
also anecdotally, i offered to buy a pro ks s orig that i shouldnt have gotten rid of for 250$ and still got denied. These things are mostly willed to stay tied to one account for years one way or another.

What I'm about to tell you is top secret. A conspiracy bigger than all of us. There's a powerful group of traders out there that are secretly running the market. I'm talking about the guys no one knows about, the ones that are invisible. The top 1% of the top 1%, the guys that jack up the price of the strange original. And now I think they're following me...
there honestly probably is someone who has a level 1-100 strange original or fucking whatever collection tho lmfao
the strange original has always been expensive, but since there are so few of them they are not that difficult to manipulate if you have the capital. (which degen trader mains do)
if you want a strange original you must succumb to the supplier before they reach $200
