Who plays it? It's been out for a while and looks really fun and I wanna get into it, but it looks so complicated. Anyone have any guides or anything for it?

Its a lot of fun, and after a few games it makes sense, but you will not be good at it for a long time.

I have the game, and it's a lot of fun, but I stopped due to lack of friends who play. And commanding is freaking hard in pubs.

I think it's a really fun game, but I know jack all about the competitive scene and where I'd look to make/join a team.

Theyre apparently adding a matchmaking feature in the coming months, so that should be cool. Pubs are okay right now with the small community, but will probably get worse as the game grows.
Theyre also supposedly working on performance fixes, but i still get shit fps.

I love the game, I just dont play it because my pc doesnt run it well at all :/

its the opinion of pretty much everybody at the top of ns2/people who played ns
with every patch gayliens/rines alternate being overpowered
hitreg is still pretty sussss
i mean its a pretty fun pub game but its hard to take it seriously when skulks melt onetime and take 45 bullets the next

the best NA pubs are the KKG's, add them as a bookmark. better players tend to play there.
skulk is awful. marines move faster jumping backwards than you do jumping forward. gorge is pretty fun if you can land your shots, untouchable if you have a good gorge partner. lerk is the bird that flys around. you gain speed by flapping your wings a couple times (space bar). against good players, never rush them to bite if they know you're there, you only bite when they aren't looking at you. use your spikes to harass. fade has the highest skill ceiling. ideally you want to get good at fade with just shadowstep (not blink), because a lot of the time in both pub/comp you don't get blink until later on. do not rush more than 1 shotgunner without carapace, even then it's risky if they're decent.
as commander, if someone asks for ammo/medpack/mist, press spacebar and it takes you to them.
combat mode isn't terrible; think of it as NS2's SOAP DM. you level up based on kills/assist and can purchase upgrades with your levels. don't take it as serious as the random gays in it that get mad if you lose; marines rarely win.

Huh, i was wondering why i seemed to lose track of marines as soon as they jumped. It gets really frustrating, especially with low fps.
