From the stream chat during the ESEA LAN Grand finals I heard that carnage is apparently returning to tf2. Anyone care to elaborate if this is true or not?
somebody posted a chat log of him saying he might if he had a team.
Oh okay, I'm just curious is all. Haven't been online in a while, just enough for the lan finals.
I doubt we would come back. Even if he did, he would fucking blow. His playstyle of running in blindly after team fights and meatshotting everything went out of style like 6 seasons ago.
And even after he was continually shut down towards the end of his "career", he still didnt adapt and try to change his play.
I probably should have just taken the screenshot but whatever. It's what he said. Dunno if he's actually going to.
When he was in the DM server he DM was still pretty good but that doesn't really say much about his game sense. I'm sure he's not stupid obviously, so it wouldn't take too long to get caught up.

Actually he would still be pretty good once he got into the swing of things. Clockwork and Yz50 still do the super agrro playstyle as it works with superior aim, and the running in of a scout after team fights to meatshot everything is a staple of how HRG plays and they just won lan. Scout isn't terribly hard if you can DM very well. He'd have to think more, but this is video games, not rocket-science.
but... he's not sorry, so what do I care

you say that like it has, but I wouldn't agree. And him being online was him playing in pug.na, which was actually really cool since I had never been around back then and he's pretty legendary. He's a really nice guy. As for how he played, he wasn't bad by any margin. Just his gamesense is behind (as expected from anyone who has missed out for forever) and scout is kind of unwieldy until you actually play it for more than an hour after years. His sniper was really good.
As for if he's coming back, he told me this
[00:54] <Epoch`> so is this a testrun or do you actually plan on coming back
[00:55] <carnage> eh
[00:55] <carnage> both
[00:55] <carnage> :p
[00:55] <carnage> more of a test run
and this comment is in his group as of last week

If anything, I'm more excited for the potential in a possible big name like complexity looking into tf2 again if carnage is still affiliated with them, which i have no clue about.

Hes obviously going to be rusty, and the game has obviously changed, but the point is that it's cool to see old players come back. Who cares how he performs.
Wow, if this is true about Carnage. It would go a long way of convincing old TF2-ers to come back to the scene thus invoking most of my buddies and their buddies who have retired from TF2 to jump back into the scene again. Plus, wouldn't it be just cool to see the old, pruny TF2 peeps pick up the game again?
Let Complexity come back! :D I don't even mind if they lack the spark when compared to teams like HRG or Classic Mixup.

Just to set the record straight, I wasnt trying to bash carnage really, just that if he came back, dont expect greatness right away. a season or two of practice and he could be right back as a top scout again. and yes its always cool seeing old legends coming back.
Was in pug.na the other night and he said he would be returning if he could find a bunch of old buds to make a team with, he may change his mind idk.
