McLaren finishes p8 in constructors standings
EoNGive me Alonso title fight
alonso truthers out in full
alonso truthers out in full
RedBull seems to be ahead of everyone once again, especially in race pace and tyre wear. Ferrari shouldn't be that distant as far as race pace goes, but I don't know about the tyre wear...
It's hard to tell how much everyone's been holding back during the testing, tho. The only certainty is that Aston Martin made a huge step forward. I hope Alonso gets to clash with the top guys at least occasionally in some crazy races

there's been some speculation that merc are considering throwing in the towel and giving AM their cherry picked ICEs instead of using them in their own cars to have a better chance at dethroning redbull, i have no idea how legitimate that is because it sounds fucking insane.
also, it'd be nice to see mick get a drive in this year since merc are sharing him with mclaren

Yeah I've heard these rumours but surely can't be happening? That said, its very interesting to have a Mercedes powered car that's so similar to the Red Bull design, those extra 4 BHP from the cherry picked engines could push AM level with RB. AM 100% have the best braking power at the moment and their ring wing design is fairly ingenious. Though I'm not convinced their aero is as strong as RB.
Whatever's happening I think we can all agree there's some weird ass shit happening at Merc this season.

plus AM's braking zone domination means we're probably gonna see some crazy deep dives from Alonso!
Ferrari taking control electronics penalties at the second race, yikes

the bahrain curse continues... max starting close to the back after mechanical failure, checo, alonso on front row
would be fucking nuts to see an alonso/checo title fight this year

Tomorrow's race is looking promising, hyped to see the first lap alonso magic in action
sad to see how that penalty played out - uncharacteristic of alonso to fuck up his grid spot, FIA waiting until after alonso's 100th podium celebration to decide was pretty fucked up, and if merc really did know that AM touched alonso's car,and waited until alonso couldn't build up a 10s gap, that's disappointing sportsmanship from them
max's drive from p15 from p2 on paper is an incredible feat, kind of just speaks to the redbull being in a league of its own i think

yes alonso's penalty was withdrawn after AM's protest of it - 100th podium reinstated!
