they changed this:
ETF2L News PostCommunity Moderation Bans, wherever applicable, will no longer be applied outside of a competition. If there is a ban that is scheduled to be applied, the player(s) subject to it will be notified in advance, and we will apply the ban when the competition starts.
I think it just feels like the offseason because theres nations and highlander stuff thats started, not 6v6. Yeh, people can meta game a bit by applying to compete in competitions like highlander they never had intent to play but its hard for admins to know that
