Thanks for everything you've done, Sal. You've been a positive influence from your very first, clumsy cast. Gotten more people involved in this community than the majority of players could hope to. You've pushed shitty pubbers like me into an environment where they can grow their skills, like a bird pushing us out of the nest. You're the nicest member of this community, and nobody could say anything to the contrary without the community ripping their heads off.
Hats off to you, mon frere. I hope life brings you only the best.

I used to watch your vids all the time as I went to bed. :( I always thought you were a pretty talented caster and camera man so if you aren't able to achieve the husky-like full time tf2 caster position, I doubt anyone could. I am forever grateful for your contributions to comp. tf2. You will be missed, Sal.
Damn. Looks like all the good casters are leaving or slowing down :(
Who do we have left? Mickel ++ and that stoner dude? It's sad.
Good luck on everything Sal, you're talented, and will go far with whatever you want to do.

I'm really sad, but I guess it's better for you. Have fun doing whatever you plan on doing.
you put a ton of work into the community all for just a love of the game, youre a great person sal, good luck in whatever you do
You're still going to bail out our international LAN funds when we haven't raised enough, right?
glhf in your new stuff and don't be a strangerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good luck, keep showing your smile to everyone. You'll definitely change lives outside of tf2.

just echoing what a few others have said, but I garnered interest into competitive tf2 from your casts, as well. thank you for all of your work and the content you provided for the community.
p.s. how is money given to you by youtube? from subscribing or just general views/hits?

It's based on number of ads served, through a Machinima contract. I didn't have enough subscribers to get a contract with TGS.
I dare say that you're the main reason that I play competitive TF2.
I was watching your videos before I was even watching eXtv and those things... And to this day I still have no idea how I came across you and your videos.
You did an amazing thing last year with i46, one that I will personally always be grateful for, because I got to meet all of my favourite players and casters.
Either way, I've loved your work for a long time, and I wish you the best of luck in your future, real life, endeavours!

This is not a time to be sad, this is a time to be grateful for sal and all the awesome shit he's done either by himself or with others to help grow this awesome game. He's brought hundreds of people into TF2 at least, and made it better for all of us.
RIP in pizza Salamancer, thank you for everything you've done for us.

I cried a little. Thank you so much Sal. You're the reason I started playing comp tf2 and that was over a year ago. Thank you so much for your contribution. You will be missed
You've brought a lot to the TF2 community Sal. Good luck with future endeavors. :)
Never before has it been such big news when I quit doing something. Someone posted it to reddit and everything. All the suppport in this thread means a lot to me.
Like so many others, Sal's videos are what got me into competitive, and for that I'm grateful. I've met so many cool people and have had so much fun because of it. You're the best, Sal. Good luck with everything!
Have fun in the real world man!
Your post is so self-deprecating, but you are honestly a great caster; way better than DJC.
I relish every opportunity I get to cast with you... except when was too hungover and had to turn you down at i46 :D

Pretty sure I wouldn't be playing comp without your casts or it would have taken me much, much longer. I started watching your videos shortly after I started playing TF2 and about 3/4 of a year later, I was playing comp. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment!
Thank you for drawing me into TF2. Your casts and humor always made me smile. You seem like an incredible person.
Good luck with the future; although, I'm sure you'll find success wherever your life takes you.

#51 I honestly don't believe that. Cbear and DJC are both much quicker to the punchline than I, and usually the punchline is better than whatever I was thinking about saying. As it is though, you still owe me a co-cast. At i49.
It's going to suck not seeing more koth_trainsawlaser and hitting yourself with real life TF2 items :(
Sal's YT channel introduced me to competitive TF2.
At the top of the list of those awesome few who have given so much to TF2, and a nice guy to boot.
Boy, I just heard about this through reddit. I've only started to watch competitive tf2, but I love it. You are basically the only guy I can count on to have a casual but informational video. I hope you keep on doing this, and best of luck as well to you in life!
I'll keep on watchin if you keep on uploading videos whenever you can.
P.S. i play piano too! :D
