I think stuff like signatures and avatars would just mess with the clean aesthetic going on in the forum design

While I really enjoy signatures and avatars like old fashioned forums I think with this layout they are not really the best option
Wouldn't hurt to have some kind of 16x16 avatar option (like a favicon) tho, or a text only signature (max 1 line).

In the competitive tf2 community, we are notoriously known for making super creative and badass names(not in my case), signatures and avatars don't add much more character, when we have a steam account for that.
Honestly, forums with avatars and signatures are ugly 90% of the time.

Problem is dealing with @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ and fitting in the date, etc. The signature ends up being too short if you try to fix both, and who honestly needs a signature?
I mean look at the edit post line. You can barely fit a signature into it. Having another line messes up the aesthetics.

great idea! we should also have postcounts, avatars (at least 100x100), smilies, and custom user titles. and donators for only $10 per month can unlock additional bbcodes (like colours, animated/scrolling text, tables etc), upload attachments and get gold names.
