Depends on your internet speed/routing to the server. Could live next to the thing and get 150 if your routing is bad.

Eastern canada has shit internet but really good routing for whatever reason

These are pings from net_graph, if you go by pings from the scoreboard they are like 20 lower.

It also depends heavily on your ISP. A friend who lives in the same city as me pings around 15 less to each of these server locations because he has a better ISP.

Universities generally have really good internet by the way.

When i was living in Ottawa my pings were ~ as follows
Chicago - ~30
New York - ~30
Dallas - ~60
LA - ~100
Atlanta - ~50

I got 70ish to Chicago and 90-110 to Dallas.

I get similar as zig except 90-140 dallas. Used to be 50-70, and slightly less to chi. Sometimes I get sent through chicago to get to dallas. We have terrible routing. TERRIBLE.

My Dallas routing is the reason I quit playing soldier. Spikes, loss, choke, etc. Rates don't help. It's not that bad for everyone, but holy shit.

On UBC campus it was a little better as far as I remember.

Don't quit! I still play soldier in it. It's fun as it is a challenge playing at a constant disadvantage.

There is also plenty of soldiers with damn good dm in high pings. Paddie, serv0, and sneakypolarbear to name a couple.

Plus having people ask "how do you play soldier in 100 ping" and ruwin putting emphasis on ping in mge is fun. It's always great to break people's expectations.

burnaby is literally right beside Vancouver you aren't going to get a different ping from living in burnaby.
Source: I live in another city that's right beside Vancouver and i get the same ping as the other people from Vancouver who have posted.

The only servers that really matter are Chicago and Dallas so West Coast sucks for comp.
from the East you can prob get 30/50 to Chi/Dallas so thats a lot better.
