We executed an ant genocide in our room with boric acid around the perimeter. Shit works. Best of luck in your mass killings at the heart.

HOWEVER: I must note that I saw this video of ants from above, with dots labeling their "job" in the colony. This was then timelapsed, and the tracks were followed. Was incredibly interesting, and when you really think about it, we're all executing our jobs in the process that runs our human colony. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the video again.
In any case, makes me feel bad about killing them.

Heh, I don't mind ants, but I hate spiders. Funny story, my freshman year in the OU dorms, there was a lot of ants in the room when I moved in. So I went out and bought some bug bombs and set one off. About 10 seconds later, the alarm went off and had to explain to the cops/firefighters/resident why I thought it was a good idea.
