TF2 sound messed up.

So recently my tf2 sound has been messed up. Sound would shutter, and crackle. I also recently got a brand new headset if that's affecting it.

EDIT: It worked but now I hear static in the background.
EDIT2: Stopped working. If any one could find a fix I would love it. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled to no help. I have also tryed -autoconfig.

mixahead's default it .1 set it back to it.

check your autoexec for snd_mixahead and remove it or be sure to set it everytime.

which headset, maybe the company that made it managed to put it's own shitty 'gaming' driver in it.

Its only in tf2. The headset is plantronics 400 dsp. The problem still happens even with my old headset.

jp_usb or 3.5mm headset.

does the issue persist with lower volume?

Its a usb headset. It only happens in tf2. CSGO is fine.
