It's cute that everyone in Europe seems to think we will now have Pyro's running around everywhere. I mean sure... I want to try it because that's what I do, but it's not going to become a standard meta :P
I think they're over-reacting to the pyro unlocks. Sure it makes the pyro more viable, but it's not game-breaking and will still only be used in limited situations.
moweWhat does Dalokohs Bar even do?
Gives the heavy 100 health when he eats it, if he's at 300hp it buffs him to 350hp for 30 seconds. Doesn't recharge like the sandvich so you can eat it constantly, but can't be thrown for other people.

I don't care about pyros being able to do more damage, because it's still only going to be run as a novelty role and won't change the meta. But it makes them much more unpleasant to play against due to the immobilizing effect of airblast combined with crits.
With that said, hopefully this will bring more people into 6s and we might get some good new players out of it, even if they'll have to convert to a core class eventually.

I don't agree with Degreaser because it just makes Pyro way too easy, but otherwise this is a step in the right direction.

Degreaser is definitely good. Not a fan of flares or the axe, but they really won't change much in the grand scheme of things.
etf2l is going to be aids if we get trolls making new accounts and teams just to abuse these unlocks, just like ugc 6's, hopefully the admins took this into consideration.
Cool, now I can finally off-class to pyro sometimes. Still needs more unlocks though! :)
I love all the rage over there.
Do they realize that the pyro unlocks have been 100% legal over here for seasons, and not killed the game/ made soldiers useless? Lol

Time to recruit some prem highlander pyro to our team. Degreaser + flare gun is just ridiculous

Pyro still has trashcan range, especially with flaregun (no splash to compensate for projectiles). He's barely viable with the powerjack speed buff, and even then I'd rather go shotgun and use him like a high-hp scout. Degreaser and Flare are both legal in NA and haven't nearly made him any more viable.
Powerjack pyro to mid is legit for a surprise play. Beyond that he's not anymore useful than he's been in the last 5 or 6 years.
without the degreaser, pyros can deflect ubers fairly effectively on last holds but not much else
given all three of those unlocks you can deflect an uber and then use your own medic's charge to kill everyone who doesn't back out instantly because of the instant crit combos
works on gully, snakewater, badlands and probably process
other than that nothing else should change

Scouts can run away. Demos/Soldiers can jump away. Medics travel at the same speed as pyro so they can run away. To be honest is there really a situation where you would go for shit flames, 90 dmgs flares and axtinguisher over just ubered a scout/demo/soldier?

Have you ever played against a pyro

Man, if only they would give pyros a mechanic that gave them full control over enemy movement regardless of that enemy's current momentum.

Man, if only somehow a pyro could be countered by using an ancient technique, I think it's called a brain.
All it takes is 2 seconds to kill a pyro if you team is not completely retarded

:D Won't change anything really, most people will just switch back to scout like normal after deflecting an uber. What's more interesting is them banning sniper to 1 now, like heavy and engineer.
Can someone explain to me why the kunai was added? Seems utterly random to me. What does it add to the game?
The Kunai basically allows a spy to gain health from backstabs. It does increase viability slightly but makes you EXTREMELY vulnerable by changing base health to 60.

In theory it gives you and extra 60 health to pistol people down after the initial kill, but it seems like a completely pointless item to allow. DH please.
