I'm a big fan of good instrumentals, though typically those within the metal genre/sub-genres.
Jeff Loomis is amazing.

Anyone have any suggestions/instrumentals that you enjoy? Genre doesn't really matter.

the whole christian muenzer solo album "timewarp" is pretty insane, he was the guitarist in necrophagist and obscura, hes so talented.
I know people who swear by hiphop/etc and dont touch metal and they love this album

ohhhh yes. saw them open up for coheed&cambria/circa survive a few years back. their live performance is 10x more impressive than on CD, which is still really good.
i listen to a lot more ambient/math-rocky instrumental bands, so i won't post those. but a good, instrumental, heavy-ish band is and so i watch you from afar. check out "the letters EP" to get you started.

Influenced by pharaoh's post, I present to you one of the best instrumental songs ever.

Pretty much anything by
Scale the Summit
Guthrie Govan,
Orion and Call of Cthulu by Metallica,
some of Dream Theater's instrumentals,
Liquid Tension Experiment (largely comprised of DT people + friends), and there's so many more that I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I'm God is actually one of my top favorite songs. It's ridiculously good. I'm the Devil is all right, even if it's an exact reverse of it.

You have great taste.
I also recommend God is an Astronaut, Asbestoscape, Explosions in the Sky, Pale Sketcher, Portico Quartet, Serphonic and so on and so forth. I love post rock.
This guy has some good stuff.
for something completely different, check out Galaxy and Rebirth Brass Band, they have vocals now and then but it's the funkiest shit you'll ever hear

it's actually not a reverse, I've reversed "i'm god" and it sounds nothing like it. I think they use the same vocals, though.
