Apparently a lot of people thought Diablo 2 was shit at launch, and the expansion was what made it a classic. (I didn't get it at launch. I got it 3 years later.)

With the news of the new expansion, D3 going on console, and now the Auction House news. I feel many have forgotten about PvP which I think quite a number was upset about. It's nice and all to defeat monsters and play the stories on difficulties for a while, but eventually I think it gets tiring, so people use the AH to make it a bit more fun/different. If they actually didn't avoid making PvP(CALLING YOU OUT BLIZZARD) and really worked on it, the gameplay would have much more and everybody would be happy.

yeah pvp was the best aspect of diablo2:lod, but that got old quick too due to people just getting perfect gear from ebay. who knows what else they have in store for the expansion of d3 but removing the AH is a great start. still don't know why the level cap isn't 99 but thats fine i guess. if they work on the pvp for this, i think i'll definitely play more. gonna have to see how it turns out

Not everyone played PvP though. Getting insta-fucked by a Hammerdin with the usual Enigma armor isn't my idea of fun.

I was more than happy spending all my time doing Andy/Meph runs and hunting for Baal run channels.

lol yeah when enigma came out pretty much any class was retarded strong in pvp...i really wish rune words would be in d3 some of them were so good

Diablo 3 is a shit fest. The Auction House was the last good part about it, you could sell your gear for actual money.

There is nothing to do in Diablo 3 and there will never be. Unless you like killing NPC's all day.
The story line in diablo 3 is a joke. The most cliche piece of crap that ruined the Diablo series.

i'm conflicted on the removal of the auction house, but mainly the gold auction house (it's going to be maple story-level of trading for gear)

i made a lot of money selling all my crap before everyone quit, but i do agree the real money auction house pretty much shit on the game

defy if you liked torchlight 2, you'd probably enjoy d3 (probably a demon hunter since iirc you liked the outlander)

the only reason i quit d3 is because i was working on my hardcore monk and my computer blue screened and i basically lost like 200 hours of progress lol

lol yeah the demon hunter was pretty god awful when i first played d3, of course i loved playing with the zon back in d2 so ill definitely revisit that when the expansion comes out, should be interesting to see how they make the pally...but i wish they would introduce another character instead of just bringing back an old one I.E pally + another or 2 new ones + pally etc

If you guys are thinking about coming back into the game right now, everything you own is fucking worthless. Unless you are a 300k+ dps WW barb, archon wiz, or that spinny monk bullshit with almost capped MF.. Gold is at an all time low, it's sold by like the 100 millions for something like 30

I spent a lot more time in bidding wars in the AH than I'd like to admit. Still made ~$150 because of 1 barb weapon near launch, though not as much as others.

Ladders will make a huge difference in the game IMO. Though it sucks I have 0 paragon.

Wait what!?? DH at start and for a long time was insanely good. The amount of times that spell (I forgot the name, it's been like a year) hit a creature rolled everything.

Edit- holy shit, talking about giving tons of notice before shutting it down on March 18, 2014. I wonder what will happen with the items you have now. One of the reasons I quit the game, outside of wanting kill myself from lag deaths, was when they updated the gear and mine went from decent to shit in a night.

diablo 3 currently, is just. get items. that's all you do in the game (there is no end game). but with the paragon levels, everyone will eventually, inevitably for playing long enough get every item in the game (easily too). Actually i got to max level (and inferno) in diablo 3 on 2 characters just before they released paragon levels. i was in inferno mode, bored as shit my god it wasn't even challenging in any aspect other than my gear wasn't good enough. inferno mode was nothing but a series of gear checks. But I actually played every class. not only that but they haven't released PvP and that was my only interest other than farming gear and selling it on the auction house, which i did and made some cash. but the auction house ruined farming gear that's true, but who wants to actually grind on mobs for hours looking for a specific item, idk the PvE is already boring to me, nothing hard about it, just spam abilities no thought. rather at least make real cash doing that easy mindless task.

nothing i say will matter since you'll just read it as "d3 sucks, get mad." also because rr, you're one of those f4n boiz for blizzard, you just want to suck blizzard's dick all day.

DH was the best char in the game until the MP levels. Dh was too squishy for mp 3+

I quit like a year ago and haven't logged in since. When I was playing decent nats were like 20-30 buck in RMAH. Hell, I can't log in if I wanted since I had the auth attached to my old phone....

Legacy Nats would let you break the 50%* cc barrier and on top of that you could get like 350% cdmg. Blizzard made the game about crit and procs. Literally every good build required crit and or procs. The game was faaaar more broken then just "shitty auction house and bad drops"

If ww barb isn't the best build when the expansion comes out then I will def buy it, given that they are dropping the ah and making drops better.

I agree, it was pretty dumb how the best builds (CM wizard, Berserk WW barb, etc) all just max crit to get free infinite _____ and faceroll.
