The S8 UGC finals. I had only been playing TF2 for a couple months, saw the match on r/tf2 and decided to watch it. After that I watched the S13 Matchs of the Week for TF.TV and ESEA. Up until S14 I legit thought that there was only one esea match for all of invite every week. Kinda dumb.

Technically Cerious, since he allowed me to play in both the 6v9s I did as Spy. Blaze/Yz50 are the two that basically cemented me into playing it though.

My uncle introduced me to lobbies. Then I helped start a team with 5 other Stompfest regulars that were pretty new to 6s

Watched Sal and Huey Lewis' youtube channels, decided to try lobbies, played heavy and pyro because they were easy, random guy asked me to play heavy on his UGC Steel team, got carried all season by Jay, Jesus and Whisker Biscuit, and to this day I am shit at any class that requires skill.

At first I tried lobbying that I found from reading some articles... but in those lobbies Dopewolf and TaddTaddTadd were good companions of mine. But it's gotta be shootist who really got me into getting really good. That first time in PUGNA was rough, but I owe it all to that man <3

I'm a huge fan of being involved with folks that get together to bring something different to the table as often as they can, so I decided to try the competitive spectrum of Team Fortress 2 about an year ago.

I've still yet to truly delve into the competitive scene, but I'm working on it - so far it's been fantastic.

EDIT: I guess I didn't technically answer "who" brought me into competitive TF2. To be honest, I just naturally became interested in it.

after i mastered pubs i read this back when it was on commft but i was too stupid to figure out how to work irc to get on pug.na so i continued to pub until tf2lobby came out. then i played 700 lobbies and made an open playoff team with some guys from tf2lobby.

Yeahhh pubs got too easy, I met a good mate of mine called steviedee, was amazed at actually how good he was and he's been helping me and giving advice ever since!!!!
