"KoreanDJ, one of the best Smash players of all time"
pfffthahahahaha
I really enjoyed this though, a good insight to competitive smash
I think it would be a lot better though if they edited in the names of everyone talking, their smash alias, character mains, etc

Isai might be the most interesting person in anything ever...episode 3 is really good.

This is really awesome. I've always admired the smash community for how they've helped the game grow. It's one thing for a perpetually updated online game like TF2 to grow a competitive community, but a whole new level for a real life community to come together across states and continents to bring Melee to the level it's achieved.

This was kind of what I was hoping the i46 documentary would have been like.

holy shit this brought back memories

I sometimes miss playing competitive smash. Maybe it mostly stressed me out since I had to hitch rides or take the bus to local tournaments.
Lot of good memories.
Melee is such a great game, even if it's 12 years old and has a really hashed out metagame. It's so hard to actually be good and people from different areas play so completely differently/have their own little quirks to how they handle certain things.

Watched all of the episodes. It really brought back memories of some great times. Wish I still had my gamecube.

man, i played brawl for about 2-3 years competitively. I regret playing brawl instead of melee now that I've watched the hype in these documentaries lol.
anyone know the story behind Isai and Mel? the episode on Isai was really interesting to me.

Didn't include the famous M2K getting kissed by a girl picture in the documentary.

Overall it was a fucking well made documentary. I liked how they included scorpion master briefly in the Mango part. (shoutouts if you know what I am talking about.)

Probably. Try checking the smash boards to see if there is a group on facebook or something. But there is tons of shit down here in Florida. Hungry Box lives here and some times hosts tournaments

Man I wish we had anything in the Midwest, I've been trying to find a Street Fighter or Melee weekly in KC for awhile now and there's nothing. Closest thing I've found is casual matches at my community college during lunchtime but they only play Brawl for Smash and you can't bring your own stick for conventional fighters. I think most of the fighting community in the Midwest is concentrated in Chicago or something.

I've been wanting to get into competitive melee for a while now but it seems like it would be so hard to get decent at it. Its not like i can just go MGE or play a pug whenever I want to like I can in tf2. Hopefully the next SSB wont have terrible online play so that I can practice against people that arent my little sister whenever I want.
I'm on the 6th episode of the documentary know and its only made we want to learn more about competitive ssbm.
