i really like to use them but its blocked by sv pure so in 6s match i cant use them. does any one know why?

its a custom texture, as far as the game is concerned its just like using mathacks so it blocks them.

you can't use them because that's one of the points of the sv_pure setting. It prevents people fiddling with materials to get competitive advantages.

it's also kind of impossible for sv_pure to detect /how/ you're modifying the game's files so it's not like it can allow flattextures but not mathacks, even if a server owner wanted.
I would like all pro maps to have this feature enabled. No bushes, no decals just things you can jump on or walls. Maybe some cones cause they are fun to blast around.
tf2 should just support flat map textures like every other competitive quakelike FPS ever
last time people discussed this, people said that sticky traps and spies would be way less effective if maps were flat like this

Would destroy a lot of sticky traps in bushes/props and prevent the badlands bush hiding spot. Someone link the video of the euro demo that hid in the bushes plz :(
TF2's not going to cater to that hardcore of a fan base. We had this discussion before like fox said, clutter is an intended part of the game. We'd love to have no rocket trails and stuff like that too, but it really is suppose to quasi-nerf/buff classes.

In order to let people make custom map textures with sv_pure, valve will have to enable filtering only on the material properties files and not texture files but block lines such as opacity and individual face properties. I guess it's possible if they really wanted it to be, but it might take a lot of effort.
