ok so logitech says the problem has something to do with static electricity and my theory is that the static electricity coming from long hair kills the mouse.

mx 518's have the same rep as the g400 for going bad. probably because they are made so similar

I call BS on the whole static electricity thing Logitech is saying.
What about mouse sensitivity? Does a lower sensitivity play a factor in how fast your G400 dies because you physically move your mouse more, putting more stress on the part of the cable coming out of the mouse?
~3" hair
often socks or shoes on carpet
~12" 360 (on soldier so lots of sizable flicks/throwing the mouse)
killed 2 G400 and 1 G400s, each lived for about 4-6 months
