I know it's not an impressive streak, but it's still a 6k I got and was pretty happy about during a match that my team had at the end of March. I submitted the demo via the extv submission page. I'm not upset or anything; I'm just curious as to what the extv crew looks for in a play to deem it worthy of the top ten.

Yeah good question. I guess we've been evolving in that too... When there's a pogo jump into a single melee kill ranked at #5 (for eXample), people massively comment that it should have been on #1. So entertainment factor is very important, but we also want to highlight core competitive / skill clips. Anyway I'm also seeing that a 6k Scout MoG gets far less views than a Soldier airshot MoG, even tho the Scout MoG may have been much more difficult to do. It's difficult to find a balance though, but nobody likes to see the same stuff every time (stock weapons 6Ks and airshots...) - people want new stuff that hasn't been done before, looking at the comments in general. So yes entertainment factor is very important these days (after all that's what makes people share the video), but that doesn't mean a good Scout clip or something more "standard" can't get in.

As for your clip, it might have gotten in if the enemy medic wasn't afk? I could already see the comments "medic afk = lobby" popping up in my head.

i honestly don't get why a scout wiping an entire team at mid got #2 while a pyro pressing m2 at clueless ubered players got #1

the other pyro clips were great, but what was the deal with that one ranking higher than those insane sniper shots or a scout acing a team during a midfight?

Referring to Luke's earlier post, I believe he thought a pyro airblasting 5 ubered players into a pit of death would be more entertaining than a 6k.

I don't think he's denying there's skill/luck/timing/skill involved.
