I don't know why everyone is surprised. Netherlands made it final last world cup. I guess the 5 goals is the surprising part though. Still rekt'd with ease.

Well, a) nobody has really been able to touch Spain for years, and b) in the Euro two years ago, Netherlands lost all their games and dropped out at the group stage. So yeah, it's kind of surprising to see them beating Spain of all teams, and this handily too.

Costa beefed a few opportunities early and was a no factor after... imo that played big a part in their lackluster attack

Why Spain didn't put De Gea in goal I don't know, Man U had a shit season but it would have been a lot, lot worse if it wasn't for him. And casillas hasn't been at his best imo.
