I used to be the typical pub sniper main, until I randomly decided to browse the TF2 Steam forums late at night and noticed that Valve was giving out Soldier medals if you clicked a link. So I did that and got one.

So I decided to play my least played class (2 minutes total time on soldier, as opposed to 250 hours on sniper) so I could show off my medal. Since then, soldier has been my main. Pocket was my position because my brother used to pocket me in pubs.

Started as a Scout main but my first team already had like 3 people who wanted to play Scout so I figured Roamer would be the next best thing.

Seven seasons later (you'd think I would've stopped being garbage at TF2 by now), and I'm still happy maining Roamer.

Pocket because you don't really have to worry about messing up the rollout to mid, as hard as it sounds, plus most of the time you have 300HP so you can plus forward and wreck shit when given the chance to. That and I like fraging shit.

I mained demo for a while because I was forming my first HL team with a bunch of buddies a few seasons ago and literally nobody wanted to play demo. I also heard it was hard and I wanted a challenge.

Now I basically play backup for any class in both 6s and hl since I don't have the time to main anything. I'm pretty bad at scout against decent players, though, and prefer pocket>demo>med>roamer.

I main Demo for multiple reasons.
1. The first cast of a 6s game I saw was Sal's cast of bp vs mix^ on viaduct, and the way he praised b4nny made me want to be like him.
2. When I made this account after my old one got hacked I wanted to buy a Diamond Botkiller Medigun or Sticky Launcher from the market, because I played both medic and demo at the time. But I couldn't decide which class to main. The market decided for me when I bought my Diamond Sticky Launcher for 56 cents lol.

I play medic because I get a weird satisfaction from watching the little health bars fill all the way up to 100%. Also because health is the main "resource" in TF2 and making decisions about who to heal and when is fascinating to me.

I was originally going to go into competitive as a scout, but was struggling because I can't hitscan. I played medic in a pub with my demoman friend who had been playing competitive much longer than me, and he said I was a pretty good medic.

I proceeded to research competitive medic and I thought to myself "man, this is easy!" Big mistake, because I got yelled at in lobbies a lot. I got better of course, after eventually figuring out that a medics responsibility isn't just holding down M1 on whoever is closest to you. (Advantages, heal order and priority, survival positioning, etc.)

Now I like and stick with the class because I like the leadership role they generally take with the pocket. I feel important and I know the team is depending on me for making the push calls and strats on the spot. That, and I still can't aim hitscan weapons.

I actually started as a solly in 8v8 with two meds in TWL. After finding out that I played scout in TWC, people wanted me to go to that. I was decent in both scout/sniper but don't ever buy the Acer monitor. I swear that the lag is beyond controllable.
