KidIpzWhats your point, everyone should be quiet? No :D

That's not what I'm saying but I am sat like a couple metres away from harbleu and whenever they play all I can hear is him screaming 'I'm the best medic' or 'These guys are so bad' Or other lies he has to tell himself and it's just fucking nonstop. The moment they lose a round however; fucking silence. What's wrong with screaming 'nice' followed by the player name of who went big and some cheering when you do well like a normal team instead of being a big idiot.

Apples and bananas m8 - talking shit and distracting people by touching them are different things. Harbleu is a fucking idiot and I despise him for the racist dumb shit I heard him say at LANs and streams. So we agree on that right? But I think you would be bothered if someone went to your Epsi boys and bumped them while they played. You just don´t mind as much if its a mix^ player cause it´s a team you don´t like or am i wrong?

If you want to talk about the way that Harbleu calls out people at LAN then thats off topic in my eyes.

edit: just realized its you maks :D hey o/

Ok hardbleu hate bringing more people together I like. Yeah it would suck if someone did that to epsi (if they could get close enough) but it's not that I don't care that it happened to mix, I do mind I did say it was retarded that he did - and it really sucks that seagull had to be the one receiving the shit because he a cool guy. I'm just saying that some of the people in this thread are making it sound like if coleman wasn't at lan mix would win. I just want the reactions to go down a little is all.

Nobody would be upset if say Epsilon was shit talking Mixup or vice versa. But screaming at player as fan to distract and physically alter the way they would play the game ruins the point of having the lan. We wanted to see who would win from best mixup against the best epsilon. Could this incident have altered the outcome of the match? Absolutely. Could harblue's shit talk do that? Maybe if the other team takes it to heart... However it is not directly affect their ability to play.

Shittalking has always been Harbleu's thing because at ESEA lans, all the live viewers are the top players in the tf2 community or professional players of other games, in other words, the live viewers there will never shittalk him back unless they are on the opposing team and they absolutely have the right to do so.

Its a mistake on Harbleu's fault for not realizing that some of the fans are in fact euro div 4 trash and will defend their sovereign territory, but its an even bigger mistake for the fans to not realize that shittalking among the actual players does happen at professional sports (or at least in NA) and they have no right to verbally or physically harass the actual players. That is the main problem here. Unless you can tell me that its okay for a fan to shove Wayne Rooney when he's about to score a goal, this shit is not right and will definitely throw people off their game.

Yeah I was upset when some stupid players yelled SPY SPY when enigma went spy for that ONE time. Whenever tek went for spy (10 times?) I didn't heard shit from the crowd.

I mean shut the fuck and respect da game m8.

I guess they didn't want to have a i46 final stage again and they were buthurt.

But what surprise me the most is all that shit directed to Seagull he really seems like the nicest guy ever

But eh, when ur the best fucking player out there, stupid drunk people will always be there.

Is that from the tftv stream? Because if so and it's from that crowd like they are so far away. Unless all the players at the given time are at like min vol when playing they cant hear shit coming from the casting area, well maybe when like everyone there goes nuts. If its from somewhere else and is legit people watching with shoulder povs and doing that, well it's pretty douchy.

Also yo ipz I watched the shintaz coleman cast. Best cast that doesn't have you or plat doing the casting. The rest of the world just isn't ready

Yeah it was from the stream! I didn't knew they were that far. If so, it's a good thing! Ty for live input. It's hard for us to imagine the setup really. But it just show the disrespect attitude idk. Still nobody need to be buthurt, this whole event seems amazing and the quality of the games is unreal so far... considering having myself a little trip overseas next year like dasher n friends.

Yeah, the games were casted from a different room, not within the hearing range of the players (unless when mike gets a double airshot and everyone goes crazy). The games are also casted with an stv delay.

"they" "the Europeans", stop generalising please, it's equally ignorant. It was one drunk person harassing a player. Don't think it altered the outcome of the game though, considering it happened pretty early in the game and I can't imagine nothing was done about it. But considering I wasn't there, I'm not certain. It's an ASSUMPTION, much like everything that has been posted here.

About the tf2tv2 stream: I think it was quite clear that you shouldn't take anything serious that was being said there. Clearly it was just 2 drunk guys having fun, dicking around and mostly trying to entertain some people. Try and put it in perspective. There was a reason why there were 2 casts at that time.

Out of all the mix^ players he could fuck with the idiot picked one of the biggest ones?

In any case im surprised spectators are allowed to get that close to the players to begin with. I mean SC2 players get a god damn soundproof box to play in there should be at least boundaries set at the players area.

I think you missed the fact that those are massive sc2 tournaments with like 5+ sponsors paying for all that shit. This is just a bring yo set up and play thing.

I think the scale of tf2 as an esport might have just escaped you there

It's not very difficult to set up boundaries with a caution tape or whatever... Also say have a set of rules with 0 tolerance of interrupting a match.

Whatever im grasping at straws here as im guessing rope wouldnt deter some drunk idiot from harassing players so we should all agree any dickbaggery be punishable by brute force

As nice as having the players in a confined space with rope may have been, there's just no space for it. Whether or not Coleman disturbing was intentional, getting bumped while playing matches happens, and up until the grand final, it was unfortunately unavoidable.

There's no that would work because there are just set seating areas for everyone and then putting all the teams together and roping them away from the public leads to all new problems it's not the answer especially because shoulder watching like a huge part of the lan experiance you don't take that away because of one thing.

It would be a good idea to have at least a some sort of tape around the players next time a lan like this happens. (Well, since the Grand Finals do not have this problem.) That sort of stuff with a big DO NOT CROSS -text printed on it is psychologically a surprisingly big thing. I bet even Coleman wouldn't have dared to cross that line.

But still, it may not be the best idea from Harbleu to call Euros poo-poo heads when he is surrounded by drunk nerds.

I don't get all the hate based on nationality (in Twitch chat and to some degree the crowd, obviously people misbehaving should get removed from the venue like any other persons disrupting events).

That inspirational quote by kaidus that ipz posted kinda sums it up. Why hate 4G and mix^, when the community donated by the dozens to get them to the LAN, so that we'd get to see the amazing matches that were played? Why hate mixup, when you could be getting hyped about brilliant Seagull flanks and harbleu capping last points in golden cap rounds? Why hate iM, when you could be hyped by the sick headshots and pocketing going on by sheep and yuki? Why hate Epsilon, when you could be getting hyped over Mike hitting all the airshots?

It's much more fun if you watch because you want to see the absolute best of TF2, and you want to see the absolute best teams around the world play against eachother. Not because you want one of them to 'show supremacy' or whatever, but because damn, each of these teams just has frag movie play after frag movie play, and if you choose to limit yourself to only appreciate the plays from one team, you are a sillyman who loses out on a lot of amazing moments.

Were not moving the players anywhere. You put like a length of caution tape or rope behind them to give them some space. Could just be 1 foot. I'm pretty sure the area is big enough unless you literally have to fit the audience onto the players laps to accommodate them....

For the record I was just behind Epsilon when they were playing and a drunk tried to speak with Mike mid-game.

He was also talking loudly about how he'd rape the players' girlfriends if they lost and deciding which he'd choose. I was impressed how Epsilon managed to keep their concentration with all the crap going on. Impressed with mix^ as well if they had it worse.

I was rooting for Epsilon the whole game, and was happy to see them win but I'd have been just as happy for Mix^ to win because if they did, they'd have deserved it. It's amazing that teams like Mix^, 4G and iM could travel so far to play in a competition where the prize money would not make up what they had spent to get there, and that iM could find the motivation and means to improve after dominating their scene for so long.

Yeah, Harbleu and lots of other players talk a lot of shit but it's a normal part of competition and while it might lose people some friends, it won't directly impact on any professional's performance.

Harassing players though is just unacceptable, whoever did that is a fucking idiot and seems to have missed the point of the whole event as far as TF2 is concerned, to see how the best teams compete unimpeded as well as having a good time. The TF2 community didn't spend all that money and Mix^ didn't put so much work in just to get messed with by idiots of any nationality.
