trenchafter this update i see alot of huge red ERROR models on people their shoulders. i suppose it has to do with the no-hat mod i use. anyone else seeing these ERRORs after this patch?
I'm using Harbls' no hats mod, and I haven't encountered any problems with it

After this update I get an average of ~25(!) fps more with dx9 than with dx8 (tested using this demo: http://teamfortress.tv/thread/7598/tf2-benchmarks). Before the update it was the other way around. Might be just me but I guess it's worth trying.

KanecoDamn, I love it.
Theres something magical about having a bug fixed a couple days after you report it, guess I got lucky with my email.
It was a problem Cube & Bones struggled with on the i49 fragumentary, nice of Valve to finally fix it though.

P-REC seems like a really important thing to keep working for the TF2 community--if someone wants to teach me sourcemod voodoo I would help maintain it.

FreestateTheJesterFreestateTheJesterFreestateAnyone else's game stuttering/freezing since the update?
Glad I'm not the only one, it's definitely as a result of the update today. I've yet to find a remedy.
Idk if this is the cause, but three other people who are also getting it have mat_queue_mode set to 2. Any chance yours is also set to 2?
It is, but setting it to 1 doesn't seem to fix the problem unfortunately. :(
Taking off my fps cap seemed to work for me. Try that if you have one.
This work for anyone else? Still seems to be happening for me even with an fps cap.

Yeah I'm getting stutters too, not terrible but not the best either.

For you and those unaware, there appears to be some work being done on a new automatic POV recorder called AutoPOV.

It's supposed to be open source, so anyone can submit additions and fixes. Orange will assist with getting it signed with Valve, making P-REC obsolete.

AndKennethYeah I'm getting stutters too, not terrible but not the best either.
Same here, my framerate is more variable now than prior to this update as well, and not in a good way

I am also having stuttering and major FPS fluctuation since the update. I've tried defragging via Windows, defragging TF2 via Razer Cortex app and verifying local game cache via Steam (which has re-downloaded files but still not fixed the issues). My FPS is not capped. I could try re-downloading the entire game and starting from scratch, but others have done the same with no luck.

Yeah I reinstalled and got nothing. My temporary fix has been to lower the resolution.

I get it whenever a new weapon sound loads
whoever thought this was a good idea has NO IDEA
- Improved client memory usage by updating weapons to only be loaded on demand
