There's a lot of good titles I missed picking up when they came out several moons ago. I haven't really bought anything new since Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Borderlands 2. I want to pick up a new game, any recommendations?
I've had my eye on:
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Hitman: Absolution
Assassin's Creed 3
(Maybe) Black Ops 2
Wondering if I should wait for the Christmas Sale or see if anything pops up on sale around Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

I've been watching some videos on XCOM, it looks really fun and I enjoyed the way Frozen Synapse played. I'm assuming I'll really enjoy XCOM. I do want to get it asap, and figured I could do it on http://www.greenmangaming.com/ as they have a promotion going on: 20% off digital purchases. I'm not sure if XCOM has been out long enough to be considered a candidate for a sale in the upcoming game distributing frenzy that is the Black Friday sales. So I'm just trying to get the best deal and play it soon.

You never know with steam. Like, Black Ops will probably not go on sale at all during the next two steam sales, but I wouldn't be surprised if Xcom does. Its a bit more of a niche product, and firaxis and other strategy game companies tend to lower the initial price quite quickly once the games have been out for a while.

in terms of bo2, it's actually not a bad game. just a couple balance issues which should be addressed because they're not idiots

THERE IS NO MORE COMMANDO KNIVES/SECOND CHANCE IN BLOPS 2. Good enough for me.
In all seriousness however, Blops 2 is rather fun. On PC, you will not notice 1 bar connection in your movement(bullets will still be plastic on a 1 bar), I find most of the guns somewhat balanced(Maybe the shotguns could use improvement), and one final thing is the new 10 point class setup system which gives you a variety of choices to have for your loadout. I haven't been bothered by Ghost or killstreaks yet so I'm assuming that it isn't a problem.

except the Skorpion EVO, and a few other SMGs are just fucking ridiculous, especially with a laser attachment + rapid fire. And as for Ghost, it hasn't been a big problem but they REALLY shouldn't have made it a 55 unlock, because for those first 54 levels you're just getting raped by UAV spam

really tho you can use ps3 or xbox controller with your pc and i'd think most ppl have one of those
if you get it make sure to check out the community mod that unlocks resolution and fixes some other console port BS, think it was called DSMod?
