Having excellent mouse control is key, sensitivity is just something you are able to get accustomed to once you are used to smoothly moving your mouse and being in sync of seeing what you are trying to aim for, crosshair placed where you want it, and maintaining it with persistence. It takes a lot of practice yes, but that's when you can play with just about any sensitivity and can get accustomed to it very quickly; the movement is all the same, just the amount of force to move your mouse to get it where you want it is the difficult part to master.
When i play as scoot i get alot of meatshot chances but when i shoot my scattergun i get sparks and no damage. This happens alot and its really putting me down..... anyhelp?

There used to be so many threads asking about invite sensitivities.

if you are good at mid-range but suck at a close up you are probably overly reliant on strafe aiming
sees people recommend dm servers, get happy and go refresh server list. then see only vsh and idle servers.then scroll through all the asian servers, no dm servers

Watch the above video. Do the exercises he suggests for scout. Adjust your sensitivity if you think it's too high or too low, since sometimes that happens.
Put in a bunch of time pugging or DM or MGE or whatever.
Profit.

1)Use the sensitivity you're comfortable with, don't change it over long time from like 30cm/360 to 10cm/360, that could really hurt your aim.
2)Make sure you got a good mouse that doesn't stutter or lag or some other poop.
3)120 hz monitor.

changing sensitivity shouldn't negatively impact your play after you've dmed enough and are comfortable with your mouse. you should be able to adjust to any sensitivity after 15-30 minutes of play.
144 hz monitor + proper interp settings = good aim

one time I played scout vs scout in tr_newbots with timescale set to 1.5 for 30 minutes and then played a pug afterwards and it felt like everything was in slow motion. It was the first time I ever broke 300dpm against people that were actually decent as scout.
I'm not a great scout or anything, but I know a lower sensitivity will definitely help. But its more about what you're comfortable with.
