No rentals here, sorry :(. But in addition to the LAN we always have a wide variety of table top games, some console stuff, and a nice Artemis set up.
With a lot of you guys saying you are on the go list (freaking awesome to see this crowd come out again!) I wanted to drop you some info about group buys and seating. I've gotten some questions about reserve seating. Unfortunately we can't do seat reservations this year like we have previously done in the past. We found from previous years that it took so long for people to commit and purchase their tickets that we had seats looking "reserved" to other players and it turned them away from buying their own ticket. And then, some of those reservations were never filled.
There is a bit of good news however. We have made it extremely easy to transfer tickets this year. Let me give you a handful of steps to do.
1) Gather up the funds for people that are going. You can group buy and get a discount for the more people you bring. This way, only one person needs to purchase the tickets.
2) Have anybody that is remotely interested log into intranet.fites.net through the Steam login option in the upper right. They don't need to do anything else yet, that just puts them in the system to have a ticket transferred to them, if they can make it.
3) Transfer the tickets out to those that need them. This step is pretty easy to do and is rather intuitive once you see the new intranet site. If you click on your name on the login button in the upper right you will see an option for ticket manager. Use that to transfer out the tickets to the people that have logged in.
Thanks again guys, looking forward to seeing you at LAN.

dashnerMahoney, doing something similar to GXL (reserving an entire block for TF2 players) might be wise depending on how big the attendance list gets.
While we would love to have all of the different communities sit together, reserving several tables just isn't an option anymore. Over the past 10+ years that we have been throwing these LANs, groups have been reserving blocks of seats for their gaming communities. Unfortunately many people in those groups waited until the last minute to buy their tickets/didn't buy them at all and because of this, it's no longer acceptable to reserve large quantities of seating anymore on good faith alone.
Keep in mind that unlike the GXL, FITES has a seating chart that you can access and use to reserve your seat the second you purchase your ticket. We created and implemented the new group pricing scheme with gaming communities like yours in mind. Not only will the group buy system save you and your friends/teammates a lot of money, but it will also allow you to easily sit together with the new ticket management system.
We received a lot of compliments from your community last year and we're really looking forward to the TF2 community coming back out in 2015. We even had a couple of "non-competitive" attendees tell us how impressed they were with the skill level of several of the TF2 players.
If you can, take advantage of those group buys guys and start claiming tables. We will see you all in March.
PS- Happy Holidays. I hope Santa brings you all lots of toys.

I will most likely go depending on how busy I am with school
Dashner offered to take me down to FITES, however my ability to go at this point seems pretty unlikely despite that offer. It would be fun to see some of you guys again, but that doesn't seem possible at this point.
I'd be down for GXL next year though.

Hey guys, awesome to see so many of you are in and going. If you are looking for rides be sure to check over on our forums.
Here's where new people introduce themselves: http://www.fites.net/newbies-report!/
It's a good place to find people that are committed to going and might also be looking for rides/rooms
Here's a place to look for teams: http://www.fites.net/looking-for-group/ (Rooms and ride requests would be fine there too.)
The hotel closes our room block reservation on Feb 6. So be sure to call in to the hotel [(717) 697-0321] and use the code FITES. You will have to spell out.
Let me know is you have any other questions.
P.S. If you have looked at the tournament schedule and rules at intranet.fites.net , the times and rules are being looked at for accuracy. Yeah... we missed that one. :)

Just got all my travel plans locked up - I love how it's cheaper for eXtine to fly from Portland than it is for me to fly out there from central IL... air travel game is a racket, I swear.
Just a reminder to everyone confirmed going - get your tickets sooner than later. That's the only way to guarantee you sit where you want to sit. That also makes things a lot easier when everybody is doing tournaments if you're all as together as possible.

Bought 10 tickets at the discounted price so PLEASE add me with $30 ready to paypal (or just give me cash at the event if you're DEFINITELY going) and I'll transfer you one. Individual price from FITES is $40. Just trying to save us all some cash.

That goes to anyone who's within like 45 minutes of this route
