infinite I have literally no idea who you are. That being said you come across as a complete joke. You attack and defend instead of mediate. You go out of your way to press peoples buttons.
We are at an amazing point in TF2 right now. Simply amazing. But for some reason you rather be on "edge" about your league and any criticism that might comes towards it.
Do you possess the ability to let things go and bury the hatchet? We could use your help in 6v6 and just the same back to you. We have some amazing people who make this community all that it is.
I just don't get it man. Can you please just end the defensive attitude and can we move forward as a community?
He's been like this since UGC became popular, may I add after ETF2L hosted a 900 team tournament. Posting feedback on UGC forum is like asking your boss for 6 months off work, a pay-rise and sex with his wife, at least that is the experience I and many others have had from Infinite.
It surprises me really, every other UGC admin over the course of the 2 years HL has become popular (thanks to the hard work and dedication of many community admins/members from both Europe and North America, not you Infinite) has come accross to me as a well adjusted, likeable person but Infinite remains in his own little world.
So don't try, just ignore and don't judge youe experience of Highlander and UGC admins based off one bad-tempered kid who doesn't want to play along.
I feel like I'm in a privileged position here because I've been around long enough to remember when djedi was a respectable team at some level, and that I played with teams that actually did STA/TWL/UGC and formats outside of 6s. RE:infinite, you have to understand that this is a guy that since the inception of the game had been battling to make anything that wasn't 6s the main format for the game. We are talking hundreds of hours of play and years of time being devoted to playing this game in any format that wasn't 6s, whilst being ignored by the competitive community as a whole as it evidently is. Despite being carried by slingshot, djedi failed to even remain a threat in non-standard play as 6s players would make fuck around teams and beat them despite years of agonizing loyalty to the format.
So you see after years of basically being a poorly written anime-fan-fiction villain, infinite completes his story by becoming a UGC admin who acts like a massive faggot to any 6s player as his squealing autistic revenge for never recognizing him/his team as decent. Leveling or compromising with this guy is impossible because this is a guy who's ultimate pleasure is going to come from being the most minor of inconveniences to anyone that ever set foot in a 6s pug.
The levels of autism displayed by infinite eclipse even haTTrick, sye, and carrots in their respective primes because of one simple fact: this cat is so crazy he took 8s seriously
2sy_morphiend is a powerful enemy.

Hildreth, you are obviously still upset over being ignored in the past but you have no clue who's done majority of the work to make ugc highlander popular in the past. Best to keep quiet on things you know little about.
You never heard of JimmyBreeze, RaCiO or Ashkan have you? Without ETF2L your league would never be popular, fuck you'd still probably be trying to popularise 8v8. You're a tool stuck in a vortex of your own self-inflated ego, grow up.
Highlander Gossip - We'll probably see the usual influx as has been the pattern in UGC of mid/high level 6's players coming into Platinum, current decent HL players sticking around, joining new teams and the occaisional new undiscovered star pop up and make it big, shoutout to Dave+, nobody knew him until this season. I can't see any team able to compete with mTs though, not unless -ts- reform with a mix of Bonus and some other talents from elsewhere.
European gossip - SNSD look set to retain their title undefeated again, they have hinted in the past interest in another cross-atlantic showmatch with UGC champions but I fear without the mostly west coast team of The Syndicate, the game would be too dependant on ping difference, but they wanted to show what they can do after a season of playing regulary.

Ahahaha so infinite isn't just an autistic faggot with a vendetta, he's straight up cuckoo for cocoa puffs and hellbent on sticking it to invite.
iNF--: its not way larger
iNF--: its 5 TIMES LARGER
Everything about his demeanor is comically similar to teng. I mean honestly if you read:
iNF--: im an admin of the league
iNF--: thats 5 TIMES LARGER THAN ESEA ALRIGHT
iNF--: I AM YOUR FUCKING COMMANDER
Would you really question if it was legitimate?

This is the problem with infinite. He makes a silly statement, asks you to explain why he's wrong, and, when you do, he ignores you, throwing "true" statements in your face as if those truths imply his earlier statement is accurate.
Infinite: I'm not looking for an argument, but in the future if you are more aware of this and try to avoid asking questions and ignoring the perfectly correct answers, you will be infinitely more popular. Mustard explained (very clearly and accurately) twice why UGC doesn't lose anything from Marxist's plan. You never gave any counter argument besides "6v6 players are assholes" and "Our league is bigger."

How does he fail to acknowledge that his prized "best 6's Platinum teams" want to move up to ESEA Open for better competition? Ask him to name the very best Platinum teams that stayed around for multiple season? NOPE he'll just talk about something else. Jesus Christ.

What attention overlord fails to understand is losing the top 8 teams to ESEA each season as a "prize" is not something we are interested in no matter how you spin it. What you are really saying is the only benefit to UGC would be some loose affiliation with the for-profit business ESEA. Whatever the spin is, it is only to benefit the ESEA 6s community and harm UGC. What you are trying to do is piggyback of UGC's success and try and get players to join ESEA at our expense.
The easiest thing you all could do to increase the popularity of ESEA is get them to create a "free' division. No single thing would make that league more popular than that. Teams would play for a season and the ones who want more competition would pay for the following season in Open. Why won't they do that? Probably because theres no immediate financial incentive for "free". Thus, you are trying to make UGC 6s ESEA "free". Teams can move all they want, we are fine with it but there will never be an institutionalized get free pass out of our league. Why don't we continue the conversation and find something that works for both leagues?

We don't have chains on our teams dude, they can join any league they want to. Just because another league wants to charge money to play a computer game doesn't mean we are required to have the #1 prize in UGC be to leave our league for it. I can't believe that makes sense to some of you.

I don't get why infinite seems to say that highlander is a new concept and gametype.
mp_highlander command was implemented on February 1,2010, and if anything pioneered the gametype, it was probably the 6v9 pubs v pro exhibition matches held in June of the same year and annually since that date.
This means its a little over three years old, and even had some sense of Valve backing the gametype, which is also noted in the fact that you guys have valve in game items made specifically for your seasons. Esea on the other hand is almost nonexistent in the eyes of valve.
I also didn't see how he thought his league wouldn't gain anything from the top 8 reward system marxist thought of.
You get access to:
a) teams who are unsure of where they stand skill wise
b) teams who do not want to pay to play yet, whether or not a) applies
c) people just looking to try out 6s with friends from their communities
d) your 457 highlander teams (1828/4113 players are primary 6s class players) could decide to give 6s a try alongside highlander with friends from their team allowing your league to grow
All this adds up to UGC growing in the 6s department, all you lose is 8/x teams, where x is the total entries into the platinum league. If the top 8 teams stay, it starts to become just like the move up teams from IM to invite who break and reform every season. Why bother playing if you're just gonna get destroyed again and again.
The top 8 teams as well probably have on the fence friends as well, they tell two friends that they got a free pass to open after winning ugc, and those two friends get 4 friends and suddenly you have more teams.
So how do you lose on giving 8 teams a ticket to open? You can even make two prizes, one where they get the freemium and one where they get money or keys or whatever fits

As one of the UGC S2 6s champions, I can inform you on no uncertain terms that your league always has been, and always will be, ESEA-Free.

does that "we" include Marxist, the head of 6s, that was making said plan happen until you threw a hissy fit, cancelled the plan even though torbull had already agreed to it, and brought in a bunch of new 6s admins with no actual 6v6 experience to dilute Marxist's power?
or does it include your squadron of tfc buddies who don't even really follow tf2?

Nope, not marxist it was a plan he was approached about. And its not just me mustard, forn, red, all the other head admins are against it as well. I wasn't even included on the initial conversations, forn put the kabash on it before it even crossed my plate. Squadron of TFC buddies? Dilute someone's power? It's not really that decision that's the problem, it's your attitude.

Again, that's the problem. You ignored the part where Mustard explained that it most likely gets you more teams, and the teams you lose would have left anyway. Whether or not you actually gain teams though, you aren't losing anything you would be able to keep by not doing it. You can keep pretending that you league is "equal" to ESEA, but everyone knows that if you want real competition and good prizes, you go to ESEA. The proposed money prize helps some teams move up and makes UGC look good. The top 8 teams will want to switch over anyway unless they have some vendetta against ESEA (in which case, the free season won't change their mind). I know you don't want to be thought of as a "training ground" for ESEA, but that's all anyone expects you to be, so just let it be and focus on being the top HL league in the world if that will make you feel better.

I didn't ignore anything, I simply do not agree with his logic at all. Many of the players in our top teams are either a) staying b) reforming into new teams or c) joining esea. All that would change with this plan is the number of players leaving would increase for at least one free season of ESEA. The teams who are on the edge of paying to play TF2 or not are already joining UGC. They know we exist, and if they want to join us they do Your ideas are nothing new, hate to say it. Losing 8 of the top teams and players every season isn't losing anything? I disagree completely.

Losing 8 of the top teams and players every season isn't losing anything? I disagree completely.
Can you give a number of how many players on your top returning teams are either currently in esea or have been in esea?
infinite-Whether or not you actually gain teams though, you aren't losing anything you would be able to keep by not doing it
You ignored the part where Mustard explained that it most likely gets you more teams, and the teams you lose would have left anyway.
I didn't ignore anything, I simply do not agree with his logic at all. Many of the players in our top teams are either a) staying b) reforming into new teams or c) joining esea. You can keep saying that, but until we see lists and team names with quotes from their team leaders it's just meaningless. Mustard's logic makes sense unless you can prove what you appear to be assuming.
On a completely unrelated note, I am a HL player interested in 6s but unwilling/able to pay the ESEA league fees. I would play UGC 6s, but personally it seems like a waste of time (I would have to invest twice as much time in the game as I do now) if I'm eventually going to reach a sub-Open skill cap and have nowhere to go besides ESEA. If I had a chance at a free season in ESEA, I would actually try to find a UGC 6s team because I could see a future in it. I'm not motivated enough to bother right now though. I obviously can't say that I'm not the only one because I have no proof of that, but I doubt that I am completely unique.

I feel bad the UGC players have to deal with this guy. Infinite came to me once for prizes and needless to say, He doesn't even know what he wants.
I don't understand what's so hard to grasp. Attractive prizes gathers more teams and better competition. Currently, the prize for the top UGC 6s team is something like 18 keys split among 6+ players. That's like $4 for every starter. Kind of a shit prize.

Since you bring it up, your offer was pretty cheap compared to the amount of advertisement you would receive. 1 server for #1 plat team for 1 season and you get an entire season sponsored to tragic servers? If you hadn't been so cheap we could have worked something out.

We do what we can. Feel free to throw down some cash if you want to complain about free prizes for playing a free computer game online.

A server for 1 season is infinitely better than your current prizes.
