So my question to you EU gamers is, why have you stuck with stock?

For this reason alone I think it's objectively better.
I also think it's better for the current map pool's corners. Lots of people think it just equalizes out since you're better at some corners and worse at others, but it really doesn't. Some corners matter a lot more, like peeking top when defending badlands last. It's way easier to peek that with the original than the normal RL. I actually went through most maps and figured I should swap to left-handed models, but decided against it since I valued the spam angles + easier pogo routes with the original.

I have the impression those EU soldiers have better DM and more MGE time, so they just stuck with what they're used to.
Also, B4nny uses the stock RL afaik and I'd say he's a top soldier in NA. He used to say something about spamming over the boxes in Snakewater being easier/only possible with the stock.

Also is it just me or is it harder to pinpoint the location of the sound that the original makes? If that's the case, then that's another reason to run it over the stock, even though it's negligible.

I've peronally switched between these 2 a couple of times.Would keep using Original if there were reskins of other unlocks like Black Box or Direct Hit with rockets firing the same way they do on Original.

I remember a long time ago, they changed how the original sounded, it was hella louder, I literally made the switch to fuck with their sound and kept using it ever since.

Thing to note - the rocket comes out of the played lower on the Original than on stock, which can make shooting down from spires a bit harder. More chance to do/do more self-damage, have to expose yourself more etc...

Maybe I got downfragged due to my DM comment. I said that as a justification as to why they might of thought the adaptation wasn't worth it. On the Original side you have Rando, Blaze and Seagull, ok, but using the RL are Mike, Tek, SDB, B4nny, TLR, Plat, Kaptain, Zebbosai... All some of the most experienced, top team, famous for DM soldiers of the game.
Edit: just remembered another MGE comp beast also uses the stock, Ma3la.

and the only people from your stock list that actually have noticeably better DM than your original list are mike and platinum and MAYBE kaptain and banny
some people made the switch to original and kept with it, some switched back and some never switched
it really is that simple

I personally like stock, because you only need to do a 90 Degree turn for a good-distance vertical jump. Another downside to the original is that the rocket smoke is RIGHT in your face. It sort of disorients me and makes it harder for me to see players through the smoke, but that's really a personal problem and most would call it 'placebo'.
I legitimately tried to switch to the original before, but I was ended up pretty much taking the position of the 'weird dude' on jump servers, I couldn't rocket jump as well, and when switching back I actually landed a LOT more double airshots with the normal rl.
