I've decided to grab a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard. Any suggestions? I do prefer something backlit.
gargleburrywhats your budget?
I don't really have one tbh.

I've had my CM Storm Quick-Fire Rapid for a while and it still works like new.
I like the feel of the CM Storm QuickFire TK. Not quite Tenkeyless, but a middle ground between that and full-size. Unfortunately, I went for a full-size, so I don't have many recommendations in the way of tenkeyless.
If you say you have no budget, Ducky, Filco and Leopold are all incredible companies to check out.
If you do get backlights, make you sure you get a good quality keyboard where you can adjust the brightness, I've had one before that was too bright and it was just distracting
CM storm quickfire rapid is the best TKL for the money

I'll second the Ducky/Leopold/Filco recommendation. If you can find a Ducky Zero (non-shine), that'd probably be the best bang for your buck in terms of build quality:cost.
Not quite TKL, but the Leopold FC660M has arrow keys. Use the FN layer to printscr/pgup/F1-F12 etc. Build quality is top notch. You may want to use custom keysets down the road and CM keyboards tend to have non-standard layouts, meaning the keys are different sizes than most, so you'll need extra keys to compensate or you'll have mixed keys.

No budget doesn't mean I'm going to buy the most expensive one just because I can. For arguments sake, is there any real tangible reason to buy something like that over something that costs half or less as much?

Fantastic build quality
excellent key placement despite being small form factor
Topre switches which offer all of the benefits of various cherry mx switches but all rolled up into one
its pretty much like the ferrari of keyboards, no gimmicky lights or hot keys just the perfect keyboard

I really like Poker 2
but if you're looking to spend less the CM Storm Quick-Fire Rapid would probably be the best choice

Ducky Shine Tenkeyless is the best thing I've ever bought.

WASD CODE is a pretty solid backlit board. However the key-caps are shit if you care about shining. Pic is mines with the vortex keycaps set.

I have the Varmilo VA87M with brown switches and mint keycaps. I absolutely love it. You'd have to wait for it to drop on Massdrop though:

I vote for the Filco Majestouch. No backlighting, but they're built like tanks.

my broken filco disagrees with you.
I'd just get the cheapest one with the type of cherry switches u prefer (cough browns are superior)
unless you have specific requirements like 75% or 60% layout, pcb instead of plate mount, non-common switch type etc.

Curious to know how your filco broke?

Can recommend something with PBT keycaps (like poker 2 for example). They're more durable, easier to clean, don't get glossy as easy, sounds better (imo) etc

what the fuck is your damage? lmao
flyingbuddyCurious to know how your filco broke?
it has pcb problems, which is fairly common for the majestouch 1..
specifically the pins under the switch are soldered to the track properly, but the track is moving on the pcb
I've also broken multiple switches on it (ctrl, shift), probably not filco's fault, but it highlights how any keyboard brand is still at the mercy of its mx switches/your soldering ability..

Have the same with black switches. Love it.
There is a backlit version too btw - can't remember if it's made by noppoo or keycool (one or the other); exact same model/design/build etc, just a rebrand with backlit keys.

This is what I've been using for a couple months, I think it's of much better quality that my previous Quickfire TK (yes, knowing its more expensive)
I bought it for $100 on massdrop, but if you're willing to fish out the extra money this is a lovely keyboard.
