I'm tired of using an office mouse and keyboard for gaming.
I set my budget to 100$ and i'm thinking of buying this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-SGB-3010-KKMF1-UK-Devastator-Keyboard/dp/B00CUBQH3G
This is a CM keyboard + mouse combo for 30$, which is a great deal.
If i buy this, i have 70$ leftover to buy headset etc etc.
What do you think? Any suggestions?

Save more money and get better stuff. Get a mechanical keyboard, you'll never go back.

I think this one is mechanical, but im not sure.
I've already tried a mechanical keyboard, it is nice but i think they are too expensive. I've recently build a new pc so im kind of out of money.

if you want something with a mech type feel (that mech enthusiasts love) but isnt at the price point of mechs, check out the microsoft sidewinder x4. for mice i can recommend ninox aurora for a relatively low price fantastic mouse. you can also get a cheap logitech headset at that point which are always p good.
sidewinder $30?
aurora $45
logitech headset $15
total $90

Aurora is trash (major and well known QC issues check the OC.net thread) and so is the Sidewinder (membrane can never compare to a mech i had this ricer shit before i knew better).
Find yourself a 3310 mouse.
Some mouse options
AVIOR 7000
Roccat KPM
DA 2013
Finalmouse 2015
The cheapest decent mech keyboard i know of is the CM Quick Fire tenkeyless.
You get what you pay for.

wmo 1.1a - $10 to $25
zalman clip-on $10
qck heavy - $20 to $25
membrane keyboard - free to $10
earbuds - free to $10
crt monitor - free + gas
the cheapest mech keyboard is probably going to run you at least $60.
gaming keyboards with membrane are a total waste of money. an office keyboard is the same performance and it's way cooler when you wreck people on a $10 microsoft keyboard, a wmo, a monitor from the 90s, and some earbuds from ur ipod/phone than some tryhard shitty gamer gear.
its actually a top tier setup

wmo is trash these days (unusable low PCS without accel our high sense) and no longer works on windows 8+ our ESEA. A decent Avago 3090 mouse can be had at around the same price point and has a much higher control speed.

It is on the off chance you get one that is functioning as intended. There are major QC issues. Look it up.
If you want the Ninox shape and weight the g100s with the weight removed is your best bet.

If you get lucky you can find an IBM model m for a few dollars. Probably the cheapest mech keyboard you'll find. Check craigslist and garage sales.

truth. some people actually give them away for free. (well, maybe you'd have to go and get it, or pay some shipping costs..)
most others sell them cheap.
keep in mind though, that they are very, very loud. if loud keyboards annoy you, or you live with someone who might be annoyed by them, then it's probably a bad choice.

Leaves your budget for a keyboard super short, but these are cheap and nice peripherals.
I've owned that set of mouse and keyboard for a year or so, the mouse was alright but not that good if you like to grip your mouse(Pretty uncomfortable after a while). And the keyboard is good, but makes a lot of sound when typing.
I recommend you get a 50$ Razer mouse and get a 20$-30$ CM keyboard.

i wouldn't skew the budget towards headphones over a keyboard and mouse so heavily. honestly, i would save up more for quality peripherals cause if you're really into gaming you're gonna end up spending the money anyway.

Agreed,
His full budget should go to a mouse and mousepad. A mech keyboard wouldn't make a difference in a FPS.
