North America's biggest Team Fortress 2 LAN is back. Over a hundred players have descended upon the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center to establish their place in the scene - including several grizzled warriors of the game's highest level. Join our on-site production crew to figure out which team will prove themselves to be the pinnacle of the continent (at least for this weekend).

Is there any guide for this GXL lan ? It's quite hard to follow an event like this if there is no information anywhere, brackets, and so on. As it is, i don't even know which teams are at the event. Quite disappointed at how disorganized everything seems.

Highly appreciate your post Dashner, it's good to know that information does exist. I do find it quite questionable though why it wasn't linked somewhere in the first place. Anyone coming into the stream is not going to know what's happening and where to look for information. I wish there was some sort of "timer" until the next match, as it would give you an estimate of when the next match would happen, as well as sometimes the casters or a message appearing on the stream letting everyone know of other match results that are happening at the same time. It happens quite frequently at these sorts of events, where multiple great matches are happening at the same time, and there is obviously no way of seeing them all, so at least it would be great to get some information going during the cast. This sort of thing happens all the time during football leagues, or even the Champions league.

So wait. Looking at those groups I recognize 5-6 names as invite teams. Are those just mixes based on invite teams or are there actually a handful of legit top level teams here and there's been no publicity just because?

I echo the European contigent, you guys have this sick LAN event with what appears to involve a bunch of the best NA teams and there is no hype, no article previews, no videos, no rosters or anything. Disappointing build up, this tournament looks sexy and from what I have seen the coverage on stream has been great. In EU, if we had our top 4 Prem teams at a LAN event, we'd be going wild.

It's not comparable. We don't really have the top 4 teams here, but I agree there should be more coverage. But to think it's the equivalent of a LAN between reason full tilt epsi tlr lego is just misunderstanding the situation
