It's really too soon to say anything. I've been in the beta for a while and the game is (has been) fairly unplayable in terms of frames and jittering. There's a lot of huge balance issues and the game feels far from finished.
That being said, the concept behind NS is awesome and if they work out the issues it's definitely worth getting.

Looks awesome, but unplayable for most. I remember when they initially wanted people with bad computers to play. Too bad their new engine is hard for most comps to handle.

I preordered it, wanted to like it, literally had 8 fps on my pretty decent machine (tf2 120+ fps), couldn't find a way to lower settings, used some config that didn't do shit. got a refund.

I play NS2 beta a couple times per week. The experience is a mix between frustration/rage and intensely gratifying teamplay. The frustration for me comes with trying to kill upgraded aliens who know what they are doing. The netcode/FPS issues make it extremely difficult to track aliens (fades especially). The hit registration needs some work as well. With that being said, there are moments of awesomeness when you have a team who knows what they are doing stick together and take over a map.
Hopefully if they fix some of the major issues this will be a great team-based multiplayer.

it seems like you can maintain speed between blinks as a fade a lot easier now. getting knockback from a skulk bite while jumping as a marine seems to work now too. skulk wall jumping seems to be broken this patch. bhop will probably never happen.

what... ? Why would they do that? I am actually curious as to the reasoning for them being made slower... being fast was part of what made the skulk the skulk.
I still havent preordered... refuse to play the beta because of peoples earlier reviews. DON'T TAINT MY HAPPY NS MEMORIES.

skulks are now the size of a large dog, and move slow as shit because the game is being balanced for 20 fps max

There was 1 hive leap (I think now it needs a chamber). Also, I heard they had to revert fade blink back to NS style (the best style + graphics) because like in old NS versions blink is gonna be crap.

For me at least (660ti) it runs perfect, if you can handle it you will not regret the purchase
