Yesterday everything was fine, playing at solid 250 fps, today i can get max 180 and 80 on mids.
even getting input lag and microstutter, i think it's the fps variation.
I've no idea why, but seems i'm not the only one with this problem.
I've tried reinstalling tf2, reseating everything in my pc, cleaning it, reinstalling gpu drivers, every possible cfg.
Please let me know if someone else is having the same problem and if you managed to fix it.

i've had the same problem yesterday, it pissed me off. i've closed the game, verified game cache, closed Steam, went to sleep and - woah, everything is fine today.

I've noticed lower FPS today, wasn't getting above 150 in a 6s pug.

fixed it, opt out from the steam client beta
click setting on the icon of steam on the bottom bar, account on th eleft, then click change and select NONE - opt out

Had the same problem today, am also opted into steam client beta. Will test after the update (but then again the update alone might have a large fps impact).
EDIT: Disabled steam client beta, back to normal frames. Thanks Croce!

Yeah same here, had around 200-300, now it's constantly 90-100, fucks me very bad with 144hz monitor.

same for me, I was dropping to 40 fps when I normally get 100 at the lowest, will try that steam client beta thing

Its really strange at certain places I get 80 when I turn a little bit I get 150-170. Still didn't figure out whats causing that huge drop.
I can even look at the wall in that certain direction and my fps goes down :/

When I get near other players my fps seems to be dropping down from 150 to about 50, I guess it could be something in my config?
