I'm using Flathudblue and I want to have a scrollbar next to the chat. How do I do that? I've deleted both the chatscheme and basechat files which made my chat box default but still didn't make the scrollbar appear.
Please help, thanks.

edit: The scroll bar is there when I just delete my hud completely, so there must be a different file I need to edit.

also if I replace chatscheme and basehud from my custom hud with the default ones the scrollbar also doesn't appear.

I'm trying to make the server time limit clock much larger. I tried to change some values in "ServerTimeLimitLabel" in "Resource/UI/HudObjectiveTimePanel.res" but increasing the font makes the clock disappear. How do I know what fonts I can use?

You can find all the fonts available (as well as add new ones) in the ClientScheme.res (in resource folder). Any changes made in ClientScheme require a restart before they can take effect.

Is it possible to bring back the skull icons on the scoreboard that indicated players are dead? Or is it built into the game now because I can't find a section in scoreboard.res that applies to it. I just personally think it's much easier and quicker to read who's dead and alive this way.

I've been using this hud, but 3d hud playermodels are not present. I've been messing around with values in the hud's HudPlayerClass.res here and there, but can't seem to get enabling them to work.

(and yes, I have cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel 1 on)

You made the panel with the classmodel full screen, but did not move the class 'into' the screen. Mess with the 'origin_z' values and reloadscheme to see the changes.

I'd like to remove the ping from my scoreboard by reducing the width of the blue and red team.

Use tf_scoreboard_ping_as_text 1 if you want numbers back (or go into advanced options and fiddle with your settings)

If you actually want to remove it from the scoreboard try:

scores {
	ping_width "0" // or -1
}

Setting medal_width to 0 will hide the stamps if those have to be removed.

Setting ping_width to 0 actually overlapped the ping bar with my class icons and only did it for BLU lol

How would I add the competitive matchmaking beta menu to to broeselhud blue? I would to create a button somewhere on the main menu of buttons.

ex: http://s8.postimg.org/5rxazv82t/broeselhud_matchmaking_post.png

I also want this to be compatible with a stretched 4:3 resolution of 1024 x 768 (and 1920x1080 standard)

Just adjust the x-pos and y-pos until you get it near center. Using wide and tall afterwards should get it within a couple pixels of perfect center.

Thank you I got it working for soldier. However, I'm getting a different error when I edit for some other classes. Scout/Sniper is fine, but when I try to edit the customclassdata positioning for classes like pyro I get this: http://imgur.com/nhpmU9N Reloading the hud isn't helping this. building a custom hud from scratch, currently running into a bit of trouble with the mainmenu

How do i edit the panel behind the text on those Buttons? For example the "QuickplayButton"
I want to edit their shape, size & colour. I was able to disable the overlay/border and the panel itself.
I also found the controls for the text/font & the symbols and im coming up with nothing now.

Is it even an editable panel? or an image?

Also hud_reloadscheme doesnt work in the mainmenu right? I guess theres no way but to restart tf2?

You can use vgui_drawtree in your main menu with the Highlight Selected ticked to find out which is what element in your main menu, it's just under a different section in the tree.

There is a way by toggling certain graphic related settings:

mat_antialias 0 // Change this value between 0 and 1 to see main menu changes without restarting

Yeah i found three parts of the button with that, its such a helpful tool, but i havent found a way to change the actual background of the button yet.But i'll have a look once again. Mabye i oversaw something the first 50times.
