idk I spent a few days with b4nny and the guy was nothing but super respectful and kind.
I feel like when you go onto a stream to aggravate someone you can't really be upset when they respond.

Mixup comms were 100% calling others awful, retarded and idiots... I don't watch many streams, but clockwork often in pugs looks at others plays and put up a perplexed face, with his hands up saying things like "what?? ...I don't understand man, he's so bad" which imo is the equivalent of shouting "idiot!"...
Isn't it that every single competitive person that is of moderate success does this since, like, forever?
I get that b4nny is overly arrogant a lot of times, but I wanted to comment on this specific detail that people seem to really be taking seriously this game banter - why now?

b4nny tried to start an argument with me because he saw the post I made in this thread.
good lord.
dude, he kept asking you what the problem was and your only two responses were "you're delusional" and/or "you're arrogant"
edit: downfragged for pointing that out? ok
I didn't want to argue with him. That was the whole idea of what I said. It had nothing to do with him asking what my problem was.
I don't see a point in arguing with someone who seems to always think he is right. Hope that clears things up.

but do you not see how it makes you look bad when someone asks you a question and you say "you're delusional" all the while complaining that the other person doesn't consider opposing points and just assumes they're right

Yeah. I guess you are right. Sorry.

I think b4nny has forgotten that their are other things in life than tf2 and the community. Sure, he was drunk, which probably influenced his reaction- but that's no excuse. It's a shame that he is a face of the TF2 competitive community, yet conducts himself in this manner. People are gonna say stuff to you, and you can either let it go and handle it maturely like a adult should, or lash out and show your true colors (and immaturity).
B4nny has proved time and time again that he is one of (if not the most) top performing players in this community. However, his skill and dedication can only go so far. People are defined by both their words and actions. I think he could have handled this situation a little bit better (i.e. step back and realize its a video game and not the end of the world) and this problem would have been resolved.
Tbh, this happens with b4nny at least once a year so I'm not sure why you guys are so surprised.
edit: has he apologized for his behavior?

Honestly it's this forum that hasn't realized it's a videogame by making a 400+ post thread about it.

It's literally impossible to forget that. Seriously, this is an absurd start to your statement...
fnmSure, he was drunk, which probably influenced his reaction- but that's no excuse.
He explicitly stated he's not using being drunk as an excuse. Did you even bother to read what he's posted in this thread so far?
fnmPeople are gonna say stuff to you, and you can either let it go and handle it maturely like a adult should, or lash out and show your true colors (and immaturity).
Like Geel already stated "when you go onto a stream to aggravate someone you can't really be upset when they respond." At one point Thalash apologized and b4nny forgave him (handled it maturely) then thalash did a 180 and called him an idiot several times again and rekindled the fire.
fnmPeople are defined by both their words and actions.
That's ironic, this whole thing started because thalash said clockwork has been carrying froyo, meaning b4nny being a 2 time world champ has NOT been because of HIS actions but because of someone else's.
Look I'm by no means a b4nny apologist, but if anyone here were a 10x Invite Champ and 2x World Champ and someone hopped on your stream while you're celebrating and said that someone else was responsible for your success, would you not be a little bothered by it? I would, you would too, be honest with yourself. Add alcohol to the mix and you're probably going to give them a piece of your mind.

The biggest difference I see is how often we would see "banter" like this. I don't think many mixup guys streamed when they were together (if any at all). I might be wrong about this but my memory hasn't been the best as of late. But the similarity about both of the examples of b4nny and clock are that both of them stream a lot, with b4nny clearly streaming much more than clock does, but the point still holds true: if you were continually called "an idiot" and "a zombie" in front of 300-400+ viewers continuously AND in the top percentage of players in the world skill wise, wouldn't you get tired of being labeled that way?
I have no doubt that in person, both b4nny and clock are really cool guys to hang out and chat with. But if your online figure (which is really your public figure at that stage in time) is based off of calling everyone that's not hot on your heels clearly inferior to you every chance you can get, it says something about you.
While I will agree the first round of insults and shots were uncalled for from both thalash and b4nny, this has been a problem that has slowly been building up. A lot of people would say that the arrogance that b4nny shows at times against others is what sticks, because humans remember negative things better than positive things. It's just fact.
With great power, comes great responsibility. But absolute power corrupts absolutely.
TL:DR - when your public image is associated with arrogance, it doesn't exactly say the best things about you as a person, no matter what you actually are at your core.
