Im pretty sure he just didn't know what was the point of it or how it would be executed, etf2l seems to be the only league using this system. See my edited screenshot for his response. They will be adding both features probably.

They add them in-game and give the necessary information for the league to distribute it (which are some programming shenanigans that I have no knowledge about). So, gotta blame the league for not receiving it.

having some tick values in a .json is better than scrubbing through i guess, but it couldn't be that hard to put in some little tick marks on the demoui based off the .json of a demo file.

Apparently there was a bug with the heavy hands materials where they could stop payloads because they had weird collision, so they remade the materials, but they did it in a different way to before so they all had the wrong file paths and wouldnt use the right textures.
So instead of fixing that by moving where the materials went they literally copy pasted all the textures again.
Good old valve.

The automatic mode, can either be set to matchmaking only, all games or off. You can manually record any games you like.
