overwatch is a good casual game but clock is totally right overwatch needs serious rebalancing to be a good comp game. there are so many heroes in ow that dont need good aiming to do serious damage, like winston or the sentry girl, and there are other characters that literally just walk at you like reaper and the ice chick. its fun as a casual game bc its so fast and chaotic that you dont really pay attention to things like that, but as a comp game it needs to be heavily rebalanced

People like this will always be here to hate on people but all sharing their videos does is get them more views for their bad content that doesn't deserve the views. For us to be decent people we have to let the indecent people do their thing and not encourage them by giving them more viewers. Us turning everything into a circle jerk doesn't help anyone.

It's actually been very interesting to see high level fps players from tf2, cs (just the banned players I guess), old quake players (cooler and av3k etc) and others(the c9 team is first to mind) come out of the woodwork to try and grab some of this prize money. It seems like more than anything it's done a good job of drawing a lot of these people together. I think best case scenario is that sometime in the next 2-3 years something really great comes along and draws this whole top tier community to it.

As many people have said, the game is fun to pub but kind of silly competitively.

I think the worst part about the comments on the video is that the people posting don't realize that clockwork is SIGNIFICANTLY better than them at ow, and much more qualified to give opinions about it competitively, yet continue to ironically call him ignorant. It makes my head hurt to be honest x_x

Well, its an Overwatch pubber who is trying to argue with a highly ranked competitive player. He honestly presents his arguments very professionally and isn't whiny or annoying. I think this video was made well, but his points are naively misconstrued, as he doesn't understand everything that happens in competitive games/scenarios. The video is much easier to watch and understand than other videos either putting Overwatch down or arguing for it, where its a guy just bitching about every tiny aspect of the game or just flatly crossing his arms and turning his shoulder to someone's opinions and arguments.

Overwatch community is nice

man on internet said he didnt like my favorite game, time to put out a 25 minute video to my tens of thousands of subscribers on why he is wrong because MY favoriute game IS GOOD thank u for watching

A mate of mine has been playing OW for a similar amount of time to CW and has high level comp experience and he's going off the game a bit for similar reasons.

Pretty obvious that Zenyatta's orbs are utter bollocks.

It is kind of amazing to me how many people are ripping on Clockwork for saying that the game doesn't require much mechanical skill and convince themselves thats a good thing

im not tearing into it myself and i think its like ok but holy fuck these people are diluted from all the ayso soccer games they participated in

edit: also im LIVID this guy used winston as an example of balance by saying his ult does a shit load of damage when its arguably the weakest damage dealing ult in the game, like it does 40 damage per swing and is only purpose is to knock people out of positioning

i've noticed trends of backlash from statements/philosophies like mine, and they're either:

a.) people think it's good to have overwhelmingly easy mechanics, because games are for "fun," and continue to drive this point home despite it being entirely irrelevant

or b.) dunning-kruger; everyone thinks they can will themselves into being an expert in a certain subject despite their overwhelming lack of knowledge and skill

the reality is that if I had the power to will myself into being a master in any field, I'd have built a spaceship and left for a distant planet so I could ensure that I no longer have any exposure to people like this

I always got the impression whenever you make the characters "heroes" and add MOBA aspects to any type of game more people act like they know more about the game than they really do. I don't know why but it's like MOBAs encourage dunning-kruger.
