the thing about making their radius match rockets is im 90% sure that stickies now do less damage at 149 or w/e than they did before, rather than being the same and simply not doing damage outside of that range. The result is any sticky that isn't a "direct" will do less damage
sure the pace of the game has moved up but is it really worth it to make scout such a dominant force
fahrenheitValve has thought and still thinks scout is a shitty class since his inception and keep giving him shitty gimmick weapons like the sandman, bonk, crit-a-cola, and soda popper to "balance him out". Realistically hes ALWAYS been like top 2 classes in the game and I hope Valve has figured that out by now.
Realistically, if we're talking about strictly 6's play then yes scout is easily the most useful class, but in terms of pubs and highlander that's not really as true

Pubs maybe not, since engineers and heavies are common, and just general number of players at once, but scout is still really strong in highlander.
If not top 2, he's #3

The sticky damage was not nerfed at all the stickies damage isint based on how close they are to the explosion but how close they are to the projectile itself when it explodes

Sniper, medic and demo are surely more crucial in general aren't they?

Hellbentspoken by a 5 ping scout main on snooze noises
First of all, this actually doesn't make sense, because 5 ping allows you to react faster, so I would be less likely to complain about prenerf demo. You always complain about having awful ping, notably complaining during scrims from what I heard when from streams, when I rang, and from others, yet you comment on tftv that ping is irrelevant in tf2...but now you're acting like 5 ping matters to you for the sake of a meaningless insult. I'm sure you got confused reading that, as I did thinking about how somebody can't make up their mind whether or not ping matters. Then you add "snooze noises" implying bird noises played slow and that it's easy for me to think this because of the way bird noises plays, acting as though that's how I personally prefer to play tf2. Bird noises would've played even slower prenerf, and on top of that, they played slow since open and started to play much faster since I’ve been on the team. Not really sure what you're trying to get at here, but nice try on your 10th or so comment to bird noises.
Why is literally everything you say on tftv, stream chats, your stream, etc. towards everyone on bird noises condescending? You've been the biggest cunt to everyone on bird noises since you've gotten cut. You were obviously toxic to play with and also mentally unstable, as you complained and still complain when something doesn't go your way in or out of game. Instead of just learning from it, trying to make good out of a bad situation, you seem to attempt to insinuate an argument, even going as far as joining bird noises' mumble and making "noises." You keep on going because you know that everyone that's played on bird noises isn't going to post something like this since they're actually nice people. I hope I'm wrong, though, and your attitude in game, despite still being mentally unstable, actually changed.
It's still amusing how somebody can take a literal 180. When you were on bird noises you spent hours bitching at how people on 8K were "annoying retards" and you'd "never in a million years play with any of them" but then you post something like "8K is the nicest team" then lie by saying "oh I only found deathy annoying." Does somebody really need to reply to your comments for you to finally grow up? That's pathetic.

Bl4nk used to ride in a bus full of chombos in it.
megalinxWhen valve nerfed demo they reduced the radius from 159 hu (hammer units) to 146 but if the sticky has been in the air for less then 2 seconds its like around 139 hu I think the one where its smaller in the air is really unnecessary at least have it be 146 the whole time http://imgur.com/a/vF3E2
I'm not sure if i am calculating this right but if you take 146 hm (the standard radius of a ground sticky) and multiply it but .85 (the radius percentage at the base arm time of 0.8 seconds) you would get 124.1 hm which is extremely significant in comparison to the original radius of 159 pre nerf. This means that if you detonate a sticky in the air at the base arm time of 0.8 seconds you only have 78% of the radius you would have had pre nerf.

hellbent was socially retarded on champagne & cocaine too, so i'm not surprised he acts like that with other teams

GemmellnessSetlet2 freshly laid stickies don't kill a scout anymore, because the demonerf made the stickies do less damage until a certain timespan had past (maybe 2 secs not sure).
stickies that touch the world have full radius (regardless of the radius ramp-up). the only part of the nerf that affects close range stickies is the change to make their radius match rockets which was pretty minor iirc
Wasn't the blast radius nerf the old nerf, which was reverted and then they came up with the damage nerf what I explained about? I remember it being absolutely cancerous to do long range stickies during that time.

Comparing the primary weapon stats of scout, soldier and demo:
Scout: 6 shots (max damage: ~600)
Soldier: 4 shots (max damage: ~420)
Demo: 4 shots (max damage: 400)
Max damage output speaks for itself.
Scout: reloading 6 shots: 3.56s (first: 0.76s; consecutive: 0.56s)
Soldier: reloading 4 shots: 3.32s (first: 0.92s; consecutive: 0.8s)
Demo: reloading 4 shots: 3.04s (first: 1.24; consecutive: 0.6s)
more shots to fire > faster consecutive reload times: makes sense
only half a second slower than fastest reload > get two shots more in total: doesn't make sense (especially considering overall damage dealing capability)
your guess whether scattergun is an 'op' primary weapon or not. possible nerfs: overall mag size or reload speed.
[/every salty demo main who gets stuck in a reload cycle all the time watching a scout still having two more shots to fire]
[/and even if the scouts misses his two gifted shots he can reload faster and kill you anyway]
[/and then there's the hurt feeling left creeping inside you that scout needs no aiming skills whatsoever since it's a simple point-and-click-class that makes prediction skills totally obsolete]
[/and then you fall in love with a japanese girl scout streamer and you don't give a shit anymore because kawaii]

No the damage nerf was the old nerf, with abysmal damage on stickies and which got reverted, and the radius is the current one

Would the smaller blast radius on start make it do less damage or just no damage at all (if you are out of range)? I'm still pretty sure 2 stickies which do damage don't kill a scout anymore so I'm intrigued now.

Demos Should use stickies in Dm servers if your gonna play against heavy sticky abuse in a match you should get used to it in dm and why would they not practice the weapon there gonna use the majority of the time
