im sorry im not good i apologize for my ego please forgive me, im just europeean
I don't understand when that happens, do teams just think "yeah I'd rather not die, someone else will stop the point"?
Whats this weird shit where you can have a "coach" spectating and calling everything for your team?
Crowns did a great job killing Phorofor on their failed last pushes. A few kills on phorofor were well after the push had failed so they were huge plays that did not allow Froyo to get Uber Adv. or have a medic to take 2nd.
I hope Crowns / Froyo is the Grand Finals cause it would probably make for some amazing matches.

It was the reason why dreamhack didn't have time to go into a 5th map, was an argument about allowing coaches or something like that. They made the announcement that coaches were going to be allowed at i58.
Kaidus is trying to compensate for his physical inability to play the game. I mean on the one hand I feel for the guy, I have RSI too from work and I'm starting to consider how I'm going to feel where I can't play anymore. But on the other hand it's kind of a huge advantage to have a 7th player who's over-seeing your whole team, who can stabilize the team around that perspective rather than having to piece together 6 players' perspectives. I don't know if this is a necessary addition to TF2.

If Crowns wins i58 we still won't know who the best team in the world is

Kaidus calls must be so much more precise and trustable than those of teammates limited to their perspectives.
I said it before a map was played just how dumb I think it is that coaches are allowed on the server. You can pretty much dedicate one guy to timing everything down exactly, keeping track of opponents spawns and likely positions, calling pushes and starts..
That takes a lot of skill away from the game, being able to manage all that while a tense game is going on.
I'd feel differently if this was the way it's always been or if it was even built in to the game.
Now NA/au has to fly a 7th person out and the na system doesn't even accommodate it (though that's an ESEA limitation).

don't blame the euros they're sick of losing they gotta do everything it takes to win a lan 4Head
Looks like people are still salty about froyo losing to crowns.
What if.. Kaidus is just a good player? I mean honestly how many teams would benefit from a 7th player yelling instructions? Most if not all structured teams I've played with had internal fights now and then between calls. You'd need a really smart player for everyone to blindly trust his calls.
Whether it's "overpowered" or not comes down to the fact it's Kaidus, not just having a 7th set of eyes.

Kaidus is fucking excellent, how does that make the situation any fairer?
am I seriously seeing posts advocating that playing what is practically 7v6 is fair
I mean, you can see the effect of a coach from CS:GO, ever since Kinguin had a coach call for them, it set a precedent for every other team to get a coach, while a team could essentially be 5 players focused solely on fragging. You can see how pleased Valve was with the addition of coaches into the meta when they finally added limitations to coaches, quite recently actually (But would Valve even think of nurturing TF2 into a global esport? Who knows.).
Not to take away from Crowns victory over Froyotech or anything, but it's interesting to see how the community will react to all of this. Will coaches start becoming a thing, or will there be restrictions on how much a coach can communicate with their team? But I've also seen times in CS:GO where a coach would be standing behind a player, calling out what the player sees while the player just worries about clicking heads, which seems a little too much for me.
Personally I don't mind coaches becoming a thing, but having a coach be able to micro-manage, strategize and direct every step that the team makes removes a big part of the game for the 6 players in-game.

Soon teams will have F1 pitstop levels of coaching. A coach behind each player and one for each map area, get 1.5 second analysis

I like DotA's coach system. Your coach can do anything: offer new strats, analyze opponent's draft, warding spots and movement, give hints. However, all of that outside of an actual game. When it's time to play, you go 5v5 - play the game as it's supposed to be played.
Looking for team. I specialize in keeping track of ubers and what class they're playing on lasts :) pm me
Top level players don't need help tracking Ubers or taking note of snipers and engineers on last. I'd imagine most of the benefit kaidus gives is overall strategy/calling mids and pushes. While it is an advantage, it's unlikely it's that big. Playing and calling is not as taxing in TF2 as it is in dota or cs considering most of the fighting is an absolute cluster and usually free of comms aside from focuses. Calling a mid or a push is usually not compromising aim or mechanics, as you'll usually be mindlessly spamming a choke.
I don't think coaches are going to become a thing, considering the lack of NA LANs and the lack of pay they'll receive. Coaches would be wise to not do it for free, and spending an extra $1000 to send another American in the form of a coach to the next I-series is not really feasible. All in all, likely completely blown out of proportion.
Tldr froyo will win if they deserve it, regardless of coach
