i feel like the reason you aren't getting on teams (other than the fact that the season is still going on) is that you either aren't as good as you say you are, or haven't proven anyone that you are.

personally whenever I've played with you it seems that you don't do much / don't care / etc. consistently, and rofl its just a pug xd can't be your excuse because people either look at how well you do in pugs or your previous experience

currently your only experience in esea has been 10 matches played on two teams that both went 5-11, so saying that you could play playoffs doesn't make sense here (by the way obviously open is pretty shit compared to the last few seasons so you could take this with a grain of salt but in my own opinion it's still bad exp)

and i feel like because everyone enjoys you as a person (me included) you grew some sort of ego.
i can't tell whether you throw in pugs and offclass every time you die because of your ego but in case you haven't noticed the only people who throw and dont try in low level pugs are good players with good experience

all in all i think you are overrating yourself as a player and you either need to show everyone your true skill or you just gotta improve man

please don't make this discourage you, though. you still have a lot of potential and I've seen it when you actually try in pugs, so just keep playing more often and keep working hard at it, then you will get somewhere

I agree with most of what rowpieces says. I think Mute is a nice guy and is fun to play with but I've played tons of games with him and he's never played seriously. He either just runs troll loadouts or feed just to offclass. I think part of why he does it is that gamers in higher divisions he pugs with a lot thinks it's funny and it can be but It's really just not good practice or a good way to show that you care. I think Mute has played more pugs with higher level players than almost anyone in Open has that hasn't played in IM or Invite before and hasn't really improved as much as he probably should have.

Mute I honestly really like you as a person and you should take everything I say with a grain of salt because I'm awful but with the way you play the game there's no way you're at a playoff Open level. I really don't think you can play above mid Open. I'm not sure if you tilt really hard and that's why you throw all the time and offclass or if you honestly don't care if you can help your team do well. The best way I can describe how you play is basically a walking feed machine (that can be a decent way to play the game and you can get pretty far just look at Sideshow) but it's not how someone who wants to play at a playoffs level or who wants to improve should do.

I think you need to play a whole season on a mid Open team and spend a lot of time reviewing your demos and other better Soldiers demos and thinking about why you're making whatever plays you are. Trying to play seriously to win the game and acquiring a computer that can play the game on over 60 fps would also help you get to a playoffs level. I really hope you get a team that you like to play with though because you're a nice guy.

EDIT: PEOPLE SHOULD ALSO STOP PICKING YOU IN PUGS JUST BECAUSE THEY THINK YOU'RE A MEME BECAUSE IT'S VERY RUDE OF THEM AND IT ENCOURAGES SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONABLE BEHAVIORS.

i've played with mute many times and he's a super nice and funny guy but i've always doubted if he could actually play on a top10 ish open team like he says he could.

imo he can make playoffs (especially this season) for sure but personally i don't think he can play at a top10 open level, not saying he's bad in any way.

you do have potential and i think you can get good with constant grind and playing

I swear I have no patience for people who "emo out" like this. Like 3 fucking people gave him fair/mild criticism and he goes off and quits forever. It really does speak about his ego though, having been loved by a bunch of higher skilled players it must've been a huge blow to his ego to be criticized in the mild way that rowpieces or smesi did. Yeah it fucking sucks that more people are quitting this game and that I really liked mute but I honestly can't respect people who quit because they can't take even the most mild form of criticism.

Basically this. Gamers with very questionable attitudes like Milan, Ebsikl, and even me can get on teams Mute. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to. You just have to work a little harder on applying yourself and we all believe in you. (✿ ◕‿◕)

Whenever you put yourself out there for anything competitive or talent wise people are going to be straight with you about your skill level. You can improve and if anything everyone here is saying you're a solid dude, which you are, so don't quit just because of this. You will persevere.
