I've never really listened to rap/hip-hop but I'm trying to try some new music out so I was wondering if I could get some suggestions. Thanks in advance. :-)
Also maybe some stuff for workouts would be nice.
Edit: if I can find it for free on sound cloud that's a plus since I use mostly that. Anything is fine though.

I'd recommend Kings of the City. They're not purely hip-hop/rap so perhaps you'll enjoy their music.
I'm personally also not much of a rap fan, but there're several more artists I enjoy listening to (Watsky, MGK).

I never listened to hip hop because I didn't enjoy it until like October, here are my suggestions that got me more into it:
Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit; I Don't Go Outside
Milo - So The Flies Don't Come
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, MAAD City
I'm a fan of more melancholic music so Earl felt more comfortable to listen to, Milo has a style of incredibly sarcastic philosophical lyricism I enjoyed, and Kendrick's GKMC felt more like story in the form of hip hop which was nice.

Tha Carter III - Lil Wayne
Only Built 4 Cuban Lynx - Raekwon
Liquid Swords - GZA
And these are personal favorites that eased me into the genre.

if youre willing to listen to some instrumentals that are pretty out there you should check out Danny Brown's Atrocity Exhibition.
Liquid swords by gza is also a classic.
