Matches on elite last 10-15 minutes, maybe 20? At least from what I've watched.

games used to be even shorter in elite back when it was first to 6, win by 2

If it's half as customizable as the trailer claims it is, it looks worth a shot.

This game is so bad it is already on life support (in open beta) in the form of IPL prize money funded by either Nadeo or Ubisoft. At this point in time it has a total of 20 people in the world playing it.

Sad to hear. The competitive FPS scene isn't as great as it used to be, so I think any new contenders should be given a good look, even more now that Steam is involved. Nexiuz/Xotic(?) was a bit of a mess admittedly, but hey, I'll download the Shootmania demo for sure. I really want to like it.

Tried to get it working but it threw a ton of errors about UDP not being available (when it seems to work fine on other games). I guess I'm not missing out on much seeing as I've seen maybe two or three servers with people on them. I wish that IPL prize money was going into a better game. :(

I've played this game, and couldn't stay in for even an hour. The settings are quite limited and the gameplay is just a bit weird that you're better off with Quake. It calls itself ShootMania but only has like 3 guns(Rockets, Rail, and some nade/nuclear?). There's really not much to it and seems to not be worth buying really IMO. Pretty much what ukm said.

It's a lot of fun IMO. it's best played with friends in mumble.
