With the conclusion of Season 25 of ESEA TF2, Invite roster Velocity eSports has elected to make a slight change to their roster. Former scout scizor, who had joined the roster during last season in place of saam, was unable to fully commit this season due to scheduling conflicts with work. In his place, former Meat Market scout knuck will be filling in the vacant scout spot, which was confirmed on Velocity’s twitter recently.

The last time knuck was seen competing among North America’s best was in Season 23 with Circa eSports, whom prior to their sponsorship in Season 23 were known as Meat Market. They qualified for the postseason, and finished in 4th place after losses to EVL Gaming and -bird noises- in the playoffs, ending their Season 23 run.

The team’s other scout, shamoo, gave us a few thoughts about the roster swap and future goals for the team:

Right, first things first I and everyone else on the team want to thank scizor for his time on the team, as everyone absolutely loved playing with him. Everyone agreed they wanted to tryout knuckles, and see where it goes. We all enjoyed playing with him, and feel like once we get more used to each other, we'll be able to start improving again.

I think the consensus goal from the team is to ideally make playoffs, and we're gonna work hard to try and make that happen. Now that our roster is complete we can put all our energy into said goal, and potentially things beyond season 26. Don't think we’ll be able to make it to the Swedish LAN happening later in the year, but we all think that it’d be really cool to attend it, but we'd really like to be able to attend another LAN as a team, hopefully at one in the near future.

knuck also gave his own statement:

After not playing last season, and successfully killing IM by winning a playoff match with Mustardoverlord the season before, I'm excited to get back on the grind of invite. I know the team last season came really close to making playoffs so I'm hopeful that we'll be able to secure a playoff spot this season.

Velocity eSports were incredibly close to their appearance in the playoffs in ESEA Season 25, tying with Faint Gaming in the regular season for 4th, only missing out due to the rounds won tiebreaker. Their new scout will look to punch their ticket to the top four next season.
