hello my apartment is being overtaken by rats that im poisoning but i keep finding very large flies (>1") so i think they're dying in the crawlspaces or something what are more entertaining & less fly inducing ways of disposal t h a n k s
find the rat lord, hes the largest one, without their leader the rats will flee.
mouse traps, use peanut butter as bait.
don't forget to use disposable gloves and a plastic bag for when you remove the carcasses ofc.

My mom's house has too much Rats this summer. She sprays them but the next day they come into the kitchen again. She's desperate. I told her to try Rat traps. Still waiting to hear the result. Rats suck. They get into the food.
fuck them.
no food anywhere but they're just roaming the floor. Stepped on like 3 just walking in the kitchen to make a sandwich, makes me want to just wash my feet after I go into the kitchen. Hopefully my borax poison works and kills them by tomorrow morning.

IANAL and it depends on the state/city (look up your state laws first), but assuming that your contract doesn't say you're responsible for infestations or it was very obviously your fault (leaving trash and food everywhere), your landlord is responsible. And by refusing to deal with it, they could face fines or could get sued or you could get the cost from dealing with it yourself deducted from your rent, again depending on the local laws.
Something to look up because it might fix your problem without costing you anything / be good threatening material.

ratThis is me.
I think it's apparent
I need to rethink my life a little bit.
What's my problem?
First of all, I'm a rat.
Which means life is hard.

theres rat poison you can buy that is like a paste and you can tie a metal wire around it and then put it through openings (like where your wiring for lamps comes out on the ceiling or under the sink behind the kitchen furniture) and they will eat it and when they die, they will not decompose as much but rather leave more dried out corpses and locate where they come from and use filling foam to fill up the entranceway and seal of the inside of your appartment, so you dont have to deal with stuff like finding droppings. Also idk about USA law, but In belgian the tenant of an appartment is responsible for his appartment and insides, but if they are coming in through common shared space, like the shafts for wiring, its on them. Write not only in your own name but in name of every tenant that has a prob and keep pressuring. Whoever moves in after you will already have to clean up your mess, don't want them to deal with rat urine rotting the inner walls out of sight.
