Kinda wondering if anyone in the TF2 community plays Shoot Mania or even heard of it? It is now on Steam and the open beta has been out for a while now. Mainly big in European area, but if anyone wants to play a few games with me wouldn't mind. I can teach a bit about the game modes also if questions arise.

Not really sure if it's worth the price. Maybe I'll pick it up when it goes on sale.

I've never seen a nadeo game go on sale ._.

Game is pretty basic, The movements are fine as long as you stay on feet.
The air movements are really awkward and makes you think twice before jumping, It hardly has any advantage.

What do you guys see in the game that warrants $18-$20? Honestly I don't get what people see in the game. The gameplay is so basic you could just play some source mod that could emulate everything but maybe the weird air hover movement. Graphics are so out of place (no complex models and blocky stages, yet high definition grass and what not), weapons are just rocket and railgun, there are modes where 2 people sit out while one plays, etc. I could see you messing around with it for a beta, but what would make you pay $20?
Carnage was smart to try to take any of the $ tournaments they had right now though, but I'm sure most people realize it won't last.

Browny the game is a bit complex when you get into the finer details. Accuracy is more important than any movement could bring you this game though. Miss 2 shots and it is GG.
I really like joust though, the 1v1 play style is a unique method of play. You don't play for power ups you play fast to get to the pole before your opponent to camp it/ get few points. But the thing is, he may have a few rockets himself and get ahead by it. when the game goes fast and hectic, you start to lose count of the bullets that blew past and you soon realize that your 5 bullets went down to 0. 1v1 is fun; elite (3v1) is kinda iffy, makes your heart beat though when someone clutches with nice rails.

It's a basic game atm, but it's super fun.
Plus, you know nadeo, the game will continuously get bigger.

I've got something similar to browny's point of view on this. It's like they took some elements of Quake, repackaged it with some odd mechanics, and are trying to sell you it for $20.
I mean like, the railgun/laser thing has three prongs that all need to hit to register. Long range rails are freaking awesome, I don't know why they'd make it like that...

You get to shoot projectiles and feel good about yourself when you spam mobs of people and get kills.

I played it a few times and in my opinion it's a pretty bad game. I've really tried looking at it from a positive side, but it's just so awkward and gimmicky. It gets stale quite quick and the movement feels weird. I got in the closed beta at first, and played it a few times with the latest patch, but it feels really glitchy. When I first launched it it crashed 4 times (not exaggerating) and the chat didn't work.
This game is worth 5 dollars max, and I don't recommend it.

How is this different from any other FPS?? I am so confused. If you miss a scattergun shot in a 1v1 vs a scout, could be death. If you miss a rocket, could be death. Miss a close range headshot as sniper, you're dead. I don't really understand how you could call the game any more complex because you have to aim well. If anything, you're highlighting how shallow the game is.

I had fun playing it. If you need something more fast pace to have fun, I would recommend it. It's a tough community though. Very small and made up of professional gamers from other games because of the IPL tournament. I don't know what's going to happen to the game now that they canceled IPL, doesn't look good.
Played it a lot when it initially went beta. If it hasn't changed much since then, I don't see much of a reason to pay money for it unfortunately.
when i played in the beta 10 people could be on a server but only 6 could play and some cunt was trying to take over servers and you could literally just voteban anyone permanently from any server owned by other people, so i ended up not playing anymore and getting him banned from like every server i could. and yea goodish game i guess
Played beta for a while. Laughable gameplay. Terrible graphics. Not even worth signing up for open beta. ymmv
pure aim and some movement thats all it is, not expect a deep metagame or something its a nice little distraction in between other games
I enjoyed watching the tf2 guys play in that elite tournament, but I tried the open beta and didn't enjoy it at all.
yz50's 360 noscope laser was the highlight of that tournament
probably easiest $1000 they'd ever made
probably easiest $1000 they'd ever made
the only thing i found enjoyable in the game was trying to hold rail spots in huge ffa servers
the duel mode is awful and the 3v3 thing is retarded hiding behind corners all day
