just had a quick look at the koth maps, in my opinion they should get playtested and maybe even implemented in upcoming seasons so the mappool isnt limited to one koth map only

This is exactly what I'm afraid of. Jetpack is a definite buff but not gonna be as useful as people think if the rest of pyros arsenal is still crap.

If you want a new koth map, you should be trying to improve one already aimed at the comp scene. I haven't played brazil for a while but no way it hasn't already had 6's tests already. From pub tests i'm pretty confident as fun as lazarus is in pubs, it would be would be ass in 6's.

Sure, you can sit here and complain about new hats and how the pyro jetpack is theoretically either broken or completely useless, but if you're a hardcore 6s player you're nowhere near the target demographic, and the update is deffinately not made with you in mind.

the problem with Pyro is not just mobility, but also his flamethrower; while other classes use their primary (secondary) weapons as a main weapons like Scattergun, RL, Sticky,... He needs to use the combo: Flame + Airblast + Shotgun-Flare to kill people, which is super annoying.

assuming valve would want the dr. grordbort weapons to be actually good design and not the objective worst, wouldn't the phlog be able to function as a lightning gun equivalent? like you just narrow the cone of the weird flame visual it has, make the hitboxes actually represent that visual and there you go

I find it odd how this sub-1% of the total playerbase should dictate the focus of the devs when like 70% of total games played are on cp_orange. Would i like valve to support us more? Of course-but it is absolutely dellusional to think that valve should consider it a decent use of their at this point very limmited resources.
