Hello all, my name is Soxxie, I am acting as a liaison for miggys family. I was the one who posted the original Reddit announcement. There has been significant trolling on the Reddit post and his account from the very first hour. And I appreciate everyone being proactive here but please just don't engage them. My fear is we will make it worse.
In the coming weeks, the family will try to recover Miggys account, Which will be made into a tribute for him. We will have a memorial page set up in the next week where friends and family can read ll the amazing comments left for him. As well as the ability to share your memories, all with pre-moderation.

Also, if anyone can put me into contact with someone from tf.tv to help coordinate Miggys memorial, I would be grateful.

Yeah. I've removed about a dozen stupid comments like 'F' 'Well we are all doomed the cheaters will win because VAC IS SHIT' and 'honk'. As well as one particulalry stupid one.

Like they should get their accounts deleted literally for them to get the shocking anxiety hit them when they have done something fucking terrible and get the consequences for it accordingly.
A permanent community ban would've probably given a lesson of some sort but if it's fucking 1 day they're just going to laugh about it and likely feel just more tempted to keep on doing sick shit like that.

I understand if it's like a first offense giving a relatively minor punishment (couple months maybe 1 year), but jesus 1 day is nothing, hell if I have a busy week I might not even notice I got a ban like that.

What makes this even worse is that 1 of them has proof they got a 1 month community ban already.

Yeah you phrased my thoughts definitely better, not actually advocating permanent bans or stuff for first time offence, in this case, but yeah shocks me because the fact they did that already and pretty much get a slap on the wrist will make them think even more that they can keep this fucked up behavior up with no notable consequences.

Even though their punishment wasn't what we hoped for, the people in this community are amazing, the way we come together when stuff like this happens is crazy, and it's nice seeing everyone supporting each other and working together.
