And I agree with this, but I think it became the cool thing to say that "FT doesn't do anything for the community" and "FT never streams" when that's far from the truth.

I think it stems from the impression people got that FT was going to be streaming everything by everyone all the time. Personally, I'd like to see more streaming out of every single invite player (at least the ones with good enough hardware/internet), but that point is moot. I want to see all 4 teams battling it out at LAN, that's more important than me than streaming, and it's definitely more important to the growth of comp tf2. I'm donating regardless, because I like comp tf2.
EDIT: Also, there were quite a few invite players that just streamed pubbing, jumping, surfing, or DM. Personally, while that can be enjoyable, I discount that as interesting streaming, because when I think of invite players streaming, I picture them doing scrims, demo reviews, and invite pugs.

FT is probably getting a little more flack than they should be, but they did make it seem like they were going to be streaming pretty consistently, and that kind of died off as the season progressed. btw, any sort of thought that we are intentionally not streaming scrims because we are "hiding strats" is retarded -- not saying you said or implied that, harb. we have never intentionally not streamed because we were afraid of having our strats being discovered or whatever reason people decide to fabricate. we even streamed our scrims right before our gpit matches, which is easily the most strat-sensitive map. so i'm not sure what this "FT doesn't stream" thing is. sean has streamed literally all season, zbryan streams every once in a while, and I bought hardware about mid-season to start streaming.
as of right now, a bunch of us are busy and we only scrim about once a week at most right now. even when this happens, at least seanbud or I stream every time.

But we work as a Soldier/Med pair, so we were wondering if we both donate the same amount would it be a possibility to have mentoring from the bp combo rather then being mentored individually?

Im all for team donations drives to get to lan but i always thought it would be cool if the top teams committed to returning any extra winnings to donators once all expenditures were covered by lan winnings, in the event that they placed high enough. Seems like it would help the donations thing to become sustainable.
