Pixar has made much better movies than disney overall IMO
For best Disney movie IMO i'd either give it to Tarzan or Zootopia (I also personally liked Tangled a lot) But for the sake of things I'd give Tarzan the edge.
For me Pixar is a lot harder to decide for I love the incredibles, Wall e, UP, and Ratatouille all so much. But personally I'd give it to Rataouille as it has had influence on me. however I believe all these 4 movies are better than Tarzan.
For personal favorite animated movie however I love the Prince of Egypt and The Iron Giant equally. and if you put aside the memes the shrek franchise was something fantastic (except the 4th film and maybe the third even though I found myself to enjoy the third).

Unfortunately Dreamworks doesn't belong in the top 2 animation studios as they have made plenty of questionable movies which is sad because How to train your dragon series, Kung Fu Panda series, Shrek, The prince of Egypt, and The Road to El Dorado all should earn a chance to run for best animated movie

Coraline doesn't beat Pixar's top 7 or even Disney's top 15.
Laika makes some beautiful movies but Coraline really has some serious pacing issues. It was a joy to watch but it was seriously flawed in the way it rushed through things and had so many beats, especially with the three eyes (didn't that whole climactic hunt for the eyes take 15 minutes or so all-in-all?). Coraline is like a 7/10 and thats only because of the visuals. If it were animated like a modern cgi flick it'd easily be a 5/10.
