If you walk down the streets of Copenhagen this week, you’ll notice that LAN is just right around the corner. This weekend, Team Fortress 2 is at the Copenhagen Games hosted by Esport United, with both a 6v6 and a Highlander tournament and a lot of Europeans fighting for glory.
Format
The 6v6 tournament is split into two parts: a round robin stage in where teams are seeded into groups of four, and stage 8 teams move onto double elimination playoffs bracket. During the group stages, matches will be played in Best-Of-Twos. Teams are awarded 2 points for wins, 1 point each for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
In the double eliminations playoffs, matches are Best-Of-Threes. Should a Golden Cap occur, GCs are limited to 15 minutes. If no team caps all points and thus win the GC before the timelimit runs out, the team that hold the middle point at the time is awarded the win. Each match is limited to 30 minutes and win limit is set to 5 rounds.
