dm must be grinded (or natural talent in very rare cases) and takes a long time of practice and hard work to develop
anyone can be taught the strategies for TF2, and it (comparatively) does not take as long to master

i think as time goes by im progressively getting worse

Payload is an outdated gamemode where teams are basically taking turns on who has fun on Red while Blu has to suffer pushing into a sentry and sniper on every point

You have it wrong, you take turns having fun while pushing on BLU and being made to suffer with engineers who can't keep sentry up for more than 10 seconds and hardscoping snipers and pyros who can't spycheck on RED. I almost wish 5CP were more popular in pubs, then I remember every game that has stalemated because the enemy team built 3 sentries on last and am grateful that Payload has a hard timer.

not really that unhappy esea tf2 died, quitting tf2 was probably one of the most liberating experiences of my life and i honestly suggest other people do the same im not here to preach the whole dying game bullshit but quitting this game was a great feeling, find other more productive hobbies instead of spending ur time on this video game and forum every day

having class limits enabled should be standard, even in pubs/casual

There is no combination of class limits, ruleset, gamemode or competitive platform that will make TF2 a successful competitive game without valve putting money into it, and even then the game may just be too old to be marketable. I don't see the game ever growing unless valve makes a 3rd team fortress game. Every attempt at creating a competitive gamemode (including/especially valve's own) has been a colossal failure from the perspective of retaining a large playerbase.

The game also has severe fundamental flaws that prevent it from being enjoyed by a large amount of the playerbase. Some of these flaws are compounded in the 6v6 gamemode we currently play, but many of them exist in all versions of TF2 and aren't fixable without major balance changes to the entire game.

I feel like this is only the case if you are obsessive about tf2. For me its just this thing I play for a few hours at night because I enjoy it more than watching Netflix or browsing reddit, and I like the people I play with. I definitely agree that taking it easy is a good idea, especially if you have issues doing things other than tf2 or focussing on them.

I didn't watch it in its entirity, but the main issue with his entire argument is that it comes off as "Hey this adult looks like a teenager, and this teenager looks like an adult so honestly its okay to be horny for teens and send them pictures of my genitals" (which is very concerning by the way considering this man is apparently a HS teacher), whereas in my understanding laws pertaining to sex/sexually explicit activities with minors is to protect minors, because minors are not fully mentally capable of making that decision.
